Not smoking has taken away my chill factor. Nothing used to bother me really and now I seem to be getting annoyed very easily, which lead me to wonder.....

Can long term smoking of Pot permanently change your personality? I am starting to think it can.

Thoughts suggestions?

I will add more later, I am going to bed. ::sleepy::

Don't know, I stopped too and it hasn't really changed me, but then again, it never really affected me in the first place.

I sorta quit recently (not full-stop), I don't feel any different than when I started (like 2 years ago maybe). The stuff does kill your brain cells though, luckily you're born with so many that you can smoke a ton of weed without being real affected right away. After a while though, you'll just get stupid.

Its all related to laziness in my opinion. Everyone I know who smokes on a daily basis has become lazy. Then when they quit or slow down, they are stuck in their lazy ways. I like watching tv, but to watch the same episodes of Seainfeld reruns over and over gets a little sickening. So I think its tough to break habbits when you smoke too much.

All drugs change your personality. I just had this conversation yesterday with one of my pothead friends. He didn't understand and I'm sure half of you won't either.

The thing is, you get used to using something to change the way you feel (and I will pretend it's always for the better). Well, sooner or later you get used to this feeling that the drug provides. For example, smoking pot will make you feel relaxed. This effect will screw up the way you feel about being relaxed. The next time you should be relaxed and without drugs, there's a good chance you might not be. Why? Because just chilling with your girlfriend and having a soft conversation with her, regardless of how hot she is or how soft that convo is going, it's still not going to feel as good as some really good Bud.

On the extreme, this happens in all instances of hard drugs. Cocaine being the most prevalent and widely studied. Someone who uses coke, even ocassionally, will have different feelings about certain things in their life. Your level of pleasure and enjoyment for normal things decreases. And the logic is quite easy to understand. If one night you are out partying and getting coked up, and the next chilling out with a friend...how is it going to compare? Of course "just" chilling out with your friend is going to suck in comparison to the night before.

Of course, you could just always do drugs with your friends/girl (hahaha! ) but your still on a downward slope.

Skin, I am worried about this sleeping pill business. It sounds like you take them a lot.

Just be careful with those. Overuse of them will deprive your body of its ability to produce Melanoma (not spelt correct at all) which is the serem that gives your body the ability to sleep for hours at a time. This could have serious long term problems.

Just some friendly advice. I also understand that its your body and you can do anything you want to it.

Please dont tell me to f*ck off. ??? ::

p.s. I like the Valiums and weed combo. :0

Not on Valium. It's some really big word. And I actually toned down taking them but I really need serious sleep tongith so I took it.

I have all sorts of medical problems so what's one more, right?
