Who is the best player in the year 2003? What made you pick this player?

Based strictly on the 2003 season, there are no two players I'd rather have on my team than Brett Favre and Ray Lewis. Both have been single-handedly winning games for years, no one is more valuable to their respective teams than these two. If I had to pick two players to build a team on though, I would go with Michael Vick (though I'm not 100% convinced) and Lewis or Brian Urlacher.

I went with Vick. Urlacher and Lewis are absolutely disgusting, but i'm an offensive-minded guy, so i would take an offensive player. Vick is just so dangerous and explosive, and apparently, hes been working all season to be a better pocket passer. Plus, last year, he led the Falcons to a win in Green Bay, handing the Packers their first home playoff loss EVER. And he did it with mediocre receivers. Now hes got Peerless Price to throw the ball to. Watch out for Vick this year

I think Price got a bit overrated last year in Buffalo, going up against #2 corners, but he'll still be an enormous help for Vick. I still don't think we'll see anywhere close to Vick's potential until they build an offensive line. Last year's Falcons line (see Eagles game) was one of the worst in the league, imagine what he'd do with time in the pocket. Actually I have no idea what he'd do with time in the pocket, he did comparatively little passing last year, and most of his long gains were scrambles. The guy is a mystery.
