Bill Parcells Genius or Crazy old fool? - How will the Cowboys fair this year?

Is Bill Parcells way past his prime or is every other coach a little nervous with The Tuna back in the NFL?

I personally am a little bitter when it comes to Bill since he coached my New England Patriots and then bailed. He also bailed on the Jets when they were Salary strapped and the owner was dying.

But as far as a football coach is concerned, I couldnt have been more happy when he signed with the Pats in 93. He had lead the Giants to two Superbowl victories.

Here are some pros and cons of Bill Parcells


Pros:
*Can take a laughing stock of a franchise and turn them into Playoff or Superbowl teams within 3 years.
(see example Jets, Giants, Patriots..All teams were pathetic for years and years before he came in. All have been doing fairly well since his departure)

*Players respect and fear his authority


*Can take a lot of other teams castaways and make them fully functional players.

*Most likely the Cowboys will be able to reach the playoffs a lot easier with Bill around.



Cons:

*Never sticks around one team long enough to see the project the whole way through.


*Favors Vetrans over qualified young players.

*Is old and overweight

*Most likely wont be the coach in 4 years.

*Team will have salary cap issues when he leaves.

I think Parcells is a helluva football coach, and he'll certainly help the Cowboys, but I still can't see Dallas winning any more than 6 games with the roster the way it is. They've got a few stars on defense in Williams, Coakley and Glover, but those 3 aren't gonna get them to the playoffs. Certainly not with the league's worst quarterback/running back duo.
