Minorities in the United States replacing Whites

I read something about a year ago that said in twenty years or so Latins would outnumber whites in the United States. Has anyone else read something like this?

It may have been Latins + all other minorities, but I'm not sure.

Thoughts about that? Anything to back up that statement? I can't remember what the estimate was exactly, but I wish I knew.

I haven't heard that and I have a hard time beleiving it. What I have heard is that in roughly that same time period whites people will be a minority in America, but there will still be more whites than any other individual race. It's already like that in California. White people make up about 45% of the population. It doesn't make much difference when these minorities don't bother to vote.

Or minorities can try and vote but the elite and rich white who have been controlling this country since it started can give them bad information so their votes won't even be collected.

Yeah, according to the KKK.

The only reports I've heard about this relates to those living in poverty. That's been true since the start of this country, those in poverty don't vote in the same numbers as other groups of the population.

But since, as you've seemingly stated a number of times, minorities have it so easy...maybe that'll change. Let's hope, right?

Voting rates based on race among eligible voters in 2000 general election:

White - non Hispanic: 62%
Black: 56%
Asian: 43%
Hispanic: 45%

Those numbers are based only on citizens. Whites could become outnumbered in the US but with a large portion not citizens. These are the voting rates just according to population. These are relevent because you initial talked about there being more people from minority groups in the future than white people. That has little to do with citizenship.

White: 60%
Black: 53%
Asian: 25%
Hispanic: 27%


It's pretty cut and dry. Minorities have lower turnout rates in both cases. Please explain to me why I'm racist for pointing this out.

So #### you for calling me a racist and get off your moral high horse. That's not a word you should be throwing around like that.

You can come up with all the reasons and/or conspiracy theories you want to explain those numbers, I don't really care, but don't call me a racist for pointing out a fact.
