Minorities in the United States replacing Whites

So minorities don't vote in the same numbers as white people....

And.......so.......what? What does that have to do with this topic?

The fact is you've often taken a LOT of satisfaction with coming down on minorities, which I perceive as being racist.

I mean, you could've said something about how blacks are involved in more crime so more minorities would mean more crime. It may be a true statement, but it's hard to think that you are not a bit racist by saying it, especially after all of the other things you have said about blacks before on the forum.

Your statistics aren't very drastic (in the first one, you didn't say where either one of these came from or even what the second one is, exactly), and I'm sure if minorities had more candidates and choices they may actually vote a lot higher than whites do. Your not putting anything into consideration with your numbers, which in my opinion, is a mistake.

It's a huge stereotype at the least. If you were a minority it would probably be upsetting to hear someone tell you that your people don't vote. The statistics hardly show that minorities don't vote, it simply shows they vote in lesser numbers than white people.

It's wrong and distasteful, but that's just my opinion.

You started this thread by implying that things could be changing in this country with the coming change in demographic. I then said not much will change if they don't vote. I didn't think saying that would be such a big deal to you but I provided the numbers to prove that I was right about their turnout levels. To put your mind at ease, they came from here.

When have I ever "come down on minorities"? The only thing I've ever argued was that I thought it was wrong to give people advantages in life based on the color of their skin. Being against affirmative action doesn't necessarily make you racist.

Like what? What other things have I said about blacks that sound anything like this? Thanks for putting words in my mouth though.

Whether or not you think they're drastic doesn't make them any less true. What I said was a fact and I proved it. The first one shows the percentage of US citizens that vote, based on race. The second one shows the percentage of people (citizen or not) that vote according to race. I put the second one in because it is relevent when talking about how much minorities could change this country, since a lot of them aren't citizens and therefore can't vote.

Like I said before, you can come up with all the reasons to explain this that you want, but it still doesn't make me racist for pointing it out.

You're looking for something that isn't there. I'm not racist, nor have I said anything in any thread that is racist. I hope you think a little more carefully before slinging a word that harsh at someone again.

You can go on and on about your statistics but it doesn't do very much to the initial comment you made which I replied to (and is what we are now talking about).

The statement comes off as being arrogant and stereotypical and I'm quite sure that any minority would be offended by it.

You can’t deny that your statement is ambiguous, you can add numbers and facts afterwards and try turning this into another issue altogether, but look at what you initially said.

Obviously it's a place where we part roads. It seems arrogant as #### to me, and you have no problem with it whatsoever (which I didn't think you would).
