Spinoff and I can't seem to run a program in Windows XP.

I realize there is a way to change your windows mode, by clicking on the properties of the program file, but when I do this it still doesn't correct the problem (for this program or for other ones where I have the same problem with).

Am I just sh*t out of luck? Is there a way to fix it?

Wouldn't it be easier just to buy a plane ticket and fly to his house via a 757 Jet?

Whenever I try running this program I get a "windows has encountered and error needs to shut down" message. I know for a fact, though, that this program works with earlier versions of windows just fine.

I know that if you go to the program file in "My Computer" (or wherever else) and right click it, go to properties, then to compatibility, you can change the program to run in another version of windows (supposedly) but that doesn't help the problem either, despite that I KNOW it works in earlier versions of windows.

Wierd coincidence, I just checked my email, and got a newsletter with this same problem. It gave a solutions like what you tried, but maybe this will help a little more.

Windows XP also has a "Program Compatibility Wizard" that will search for the best version of Windows to run a program under. To get there, click Start, Help and Support, then "Find compatible hardware and software for Windows XP", and finally, under "See Also" in the navigation pane, click Program Compatibility Wizard. You will be given instructions on what to do.

That's from my email. Maybe it will help you out.

Also, try the site I get the newsletter from, www.worldstart.com they are real useful and helpful for everything. Sign up for the newsletter, I find it to give me useful tips for things I'm goin thru at the time.
