This thread is designed to make you all feel better by trashing us Americans. We love it. We all suck anyhow so go ahead. Let er rip.

I don't know why so many Americans are so sensitive about this issue.

People make fun of the US, we make fun of other countries, and it's not likely to end anytime soon.

I assume I'm being thrown into the dumb American camp, so the only thing I'll say in my defense is that I am acutely aware of my country's shortcomings. The same, however, cannot be said for a lot of other people on this board who like to sling mud at the US when their own countries are just as f*cked up. "Those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones."

I agree with both Sader and Skin and that was my initial point.

Everyone tends to think their country is the best. Even Australians and Canadians, which should say something.

But seriously, I find it funny how everyone else feels everyone else is arrogant.

I find it mostly in Americans and British.

The vast majority of British people find us arrogant and we find them arrogant in return. It seems almost natural to just be that way about your own country and to view others from other countries as that way.

Canadians are coming on strong though. They can sit here happily all day bashing Americans, but the moment you mention there might be something America is better at or has more of, the Canadians throw a hissy fit.
