| What political leader/president/etc do you respect the most? I personally have always liked Abe Lincoln. The man is honest, never tells a lie... hahaha, no. But seriously, he's a pretty great dude. It must've taken a lot of courage and ballz to put the country in a Civil War and there were a lot of people in the north who detracted against him. It's quite the honorable thing. I also enjoy FDR. Back when Presidents were men. | ||||||||||||||

| John C. Calhoun, Senator from South Carolina before, during and after the civil war. Sure, he supported slavery, but only as he saw it a necessary evil to keep the US together. He was quite possibly one of the greatest orators in history, and most certainly the prominent debator of his time. | ||||||||||||||

[/quote:post_uid0] I think this is the true problem with Conservatives--far too many necessary evils. Remember what Jesus said, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions." (ALRIGHT, it WASN'T Jesus) | ||||||||||||||

| Ugh. Why do I even respond to your political posts? Better yet, why do I offer information that probably no one else would've known outside of me? Edited By Drunksader on Oct. 08 2003 at 5:11 | ||||||||||||||

| I had a friend who did a speech about John C. Calhoun. My comment was true, too, and it hardly detracted from what you said. | ||||||||||||||

Let's hug it out bitch.
| Hmmm. I would go with none. What do they really do that I would admire? You know most of them are snorting coke or banging some young intern behind the scene. | |
