    Your WC History

A idea I've had for a while, but I think it would be a good way for newer members to know the history of the site and to get to know the older more established members (like myself). We all got to WC in some form, some may be more interesting than others but We're all here.

I myself got here through being recruited (it's not a great idea >.>) via PM on another site to WH. I was by far the highest ranked person from the other site, if you look back at my very first post I actually demanded a Smod spot. Which was justified in my mind just for being higher ranked on a completely different site <.<. I was a hot shot 16 year old, give me a break .

From there I rose to power as Admin, with GD and PS at my side for a majority of that journey. The History of WH could probably be its own thread but in short it was Drama, it was fun and it spawned some moment that still make me laugh out loud to this day. Fake deaths, fake girlfriends, fake girls. God damn.

WH got sold to the then Monksdiner which was looking to expand there wrestling section. I logged on as a Tech admin job, steped down with in a month because of drama. I've been on and off staff since but this has been by far my longest stay on the staff. Theres a few major moments here and there but I think the highlights of my time on any boards are right now. Admining WH was awesome, but I feel like I'm a lot more productive to the site now than I ever was there.

I'm very interested in hearing the accounts of JVN and WH'ers but anyone can add there times here. Any low lights or high lights that you feel are notable? for the WH'ers any major Lemons moments i'm missing?

    Re: Your WC History

I joined in the spring of 2000. I had a friend who read a lot of junk on the Internet about wrestlng and he somehow got me onto this board.

Initially, I was a prick. I liked Japanese wrestling, WCW (when it wasn't popular), and stuff. I liked wrestling that told the story in the ring, not outside of it. I also liked MMA which wasn't popular, at least not in this country.

People on the board didn't like me and there was a thread to have me banned.

Somehow I become a mod, after a while. Then I stopped watching wrestling and went to the other sections of the site. I started to talking to some of the members of the board, one being the admin, and at one point he just gave me the job.

The job was mostly awful. I was very liberal. I let people do basically what they wanted to do. But there was always fighting. People always wanted someone banned. Whatever I did seemed unpopular.

Then I quit and gave it to Dan/Simon/Sweet Dee Dee. He did an excellent job. I'm not really sure why he left but he did. He started Monksdiner which I thought was a great idea and I was members of both sites.

I became Admin again, I think by vote, for a while. It didn't last. I gave it up and a douche took over and everything was ruined, I believe. My time order might be messed up.

During this time I was using a lot of coke. In 2006 I had an incident and didn't come back to Monks or JVN for a long time.

In 2010 I googled "Miakal" just for shits and giggles and I found this site. Now I'm posting.

    Re: Your WC History

I joined forums overall in February 2006. I was lured into the teachings of Lemons and was put into the Church of Lemony. Lemons took me under his wing and showed me to WH. I was just a frequent poster there. Didn't really stand out and never became a mod. Though, if I do recall, I remember actually being beloved by Mike (WUUUHHHHHHHHHAAAAA?????!?!?) and GD not liking me (WUUUUHHHHHHHAAAAAA!!?!?!?!).

I really don't remember much from then on out. I remember the series of helping out Ken with his many forum investments from the span of January 2007 to my first half year hiatus in July 2007.

Keep in mind, I was totally avoiding Monk's until the WC official takeover.

Coming back in 2008, can't remember what the name wwas at this point. Maybe WS? This was when I was a super moderator, and did the highly dreadful news reports. I then went on another random half year hiatus in August 2008.

From my first hiatus to April 2009, I was very seperated from guys like Lemons, Stevo, Deuce, TE, Mike, GD, Gary, Paulzo (friendship that developed in PWS over Arctic Monkeys and Puro), Marketh (freindship that developed in PWS in 2006 over.......being nubs?), Thew (friendship that started in PWS in 2006 over music and comedy). So, coming back to being friendly once again and doing my regular overall posting, I was frightened that I argued with Lemons a lot, highly praised by Deuce (who now has developed a one word conversation system), and being liked by GD.

The racism of Paulzo wasn't a suprise.

Coming back from my hiatus. I post regularly everywhere around the section. I also got the KOWC back on track. DD became a fan of me. He got me a mod spot in the music section in May 2009. Same month I won Comeback of the Month (not year, for some reason >.>). I did all that I could to get that section active, and I would say that I did a good job. I resigned due to the epic bullshit that was how the death of Michael Jackson was being handled. It caused me to actually be a staff member and I generally didn't like being insulted 24/7. I got into a squabble and quit.

The epic heel turn of Nicky began. I was generally pissed off at that time due to problems in real life (dead famiily members, dead friend, money issue), so it showed in my post. I also remember losing a bet to Deuce and was breifly christined as 'mileycyrusfan11'. So, I just started postinga fuck load for no reason and it was mostly negative nonsense. I also remember Balla and Paulzo being banned, which was never cool (and Steventon as well, who I quite like and seem to have similar taste in). So, yeah. That happened for a while until I made up with the staff. I was very clingy to Jim at the time. And still am. Love you, bro.

So, yeah. From maybe October to now, I've just been contributing like I've used to. I know I need to get Nickorviewz started. I hosted the best/worst KOWC yet. I am a regular in the e-fed. I have also met cool new people in Roxy, Welbek, Natty (yeah, you're cool), Raiz (who I wasn't around for to see join), and others. I also lol at the actions of guys like neX, Tommy, and several, several others.

I'm hoping to contribute much more to the future. Maybe HoF 2010?

    Re: Your WC History

Back in 1998, I started visiting a website called JimmyVan.com that gave daily news and TV reviews by a great wrestling blogger named....Jimmy Van. I spent a heck of a lot of time there, and only once the site was about to close down (near 2005?) did I realize there was a forum attached to it. I created an account and peeked around, but things were very hectic and heated in there, mostly because of this e-war between JimmyVan.com and the "other site" (Monks) that nobody could talk about there. Eventually, I figured out the url of Monks and joined there.

Over the next few months, I got to know a lot of people and enjoyed reading Wrestling News and Sports...along with just the General Discussion type stuff. Eventually, I became moderator of the General Discussion forum, after much begging to the staff at the time (Joe Cool, Danny, et al) Did that for quite some time, all the while building my e-rep around there. I later became super-mod with the best team we've ever had here IMO - God, PS, and I. Together we kicked ass and took names, and somewhere in there the site changed to wrestlingclique as we all know it today.

To make a long story short, there was a possibility of getting me in the Admin role when Joe Cool stepped down, but PS got it instead and I got bitter and left the staff. Soon enough though, I was inducted into the HoF here, and now am enjoying semi-retirement from this place, popping in once in a while.

My days as a mega-poster are now gone, and when I'm on I spend most of my time chatting it up in the SB. Since I don't watch wrestling anymore, there are fewer and fewer things keeping me here...but I still enjoy my peeps.

    Re: Your WC History

I actually joined JV on my birthday in 2003. I must have been sick that year or in between classes or something. Don't remember how I found it, but I instantly fell in love with it. (I don't know anyone else in my real life besides my dad who watched/watches rasslin'). Then I went to Monks and then whatever the other side one was and then here. DD just invites me everywhere and I follow - either he likes me or he likes having a girl who has regularly stuck around here for so long.
Oddly enough, with how long I've been here I have never been any kindof mod. But I think that's b/c I've never shown any interest. I feel like I was asked once or twice long long ago, but I just like to come here and chat and not go down the path of being a mod on a wrestling message board. No offense meant to all you other assclowns.
As far as I know, I am the longest regularly posting female on the board, but that ranges from JV to monks to here. I don't know about any chicks from other boards.

    Re: Your WC History

I started foruming back in the summer of 2005. I was searching around trying to find spoilers for something (Batista being drafted to SD or something). I found a newsite with a forum attached to it. I signed up and basically lurked for a while because I was completely new to the whole forum posting thing. But eventually I decided to actually take part in actual discussions so I became a full-time member at P-Dubs. While there I met a TON of awesome people, most of my favorites currently residing here at WC. I was one of the original members of the FWA e-fed and I modded the FWA forums, along with Video Games for a period of time. I also ran PDub's sister site's e-fed LOW and modded there for a while. Eventually I got banned from those forums and all related forums for talking to some people from here on MSN >_>.

I bounced between those forums and HPG, but after that I kind of went into an internet hiatus. Eventually I was invited to WS and joined. If I remember correctly I was all kinds of horrible in terms of posting there. I wasn't very serious at all and I think I just spammed most of the time. I was also a member of WH and mainly just talked to Lemons, GD, and bitched about Madden and faulty Rock Band equipment. I went on another hiatus and when I came back I found out about a merger taking place. I had no idea it even happened and ended up logging in with an account that no one knew me by. Once I got my accounts merged and branded with a familiar name I got settled back in. I won Comeback Member of the Month for some reason (<_<) and have been here pretty much every day since.

I mainly spend my time in the shoutbox just shooting the breeze. I do venture to the forums and actually post and have been doing that a lot recently. I modded the Video Game and General sections here for about five minutes until life took over and I got demodded . A big reason why I love this place is it features all of my favorite e-people from the past without the bullshit that was present. Plus there's some awesome "newer" members that I enjoy. I still miss Geno :\.

I'm the bisexual atheist fat guy that posts sporadically and once was named Larry Ah Toe and ZC. Circa January '09.

That's the gist of it, really.

    Re: Your WC History

I joined in the summer of 2000 the same week my family first got internet. My original account was called "PumpkinsForever", but I wanted to get into the e-fed (it was just beginning) so I created another account and character not-exactly-loosely based on The Crow. I forget what he was called. Then, after my first go at e-fedding failed, I created Freak, another broody cruiserweight whose finishing moves were the Freakshow (jackhammer into tombstone piledriver), the Freakensteiner, and the Shooting Star Press. And a few months later, I defeated Jimmy C in a controversial vote to become the first ever IOFW World Champion. I was 14 years old.

The e-fed went on from there and did pretty well for a year or two, but then guys like Biff and Fazz left forever and it folded up pretty quick. Before Biff left, he appointed me moderator of the Music forum, and I took that pretty seriously for a long time, like all the way up until the great JVN/Monks split (World War III). Apart from that, since I'd quit watching wrestling around 2003, much of my posting became derailing threads with Miakal and Tyler Durden (Bulldog, back then) late at night, or else teasing this hilarious schizophrenic named IdaMAN.

I don't think I've made more than 1000 posts in the past few years. But I like it here, and I'll check up on it most days. I've been here an entire decade now. Today is actually my 24th birthday.

Keep em coming. I know most of the history of alot of peeps, but its good for newbies to read some of this stuff.

Let it also be known that Mikk loves to tout that he was admin here. He never was. It was a 5 minute joke that he kayfabe's as a real run.

It's also nice to see that Jayman was in fact bitter about Peace getting the admin spot. I KNEW IT!!!!
