Do you try to prove yourself to others?

Another weird thread but please stay with me here.. I'm tired of it. I really don't know why I've spent so much time doing this. I've spent way too many nights proving how much I can drink, proving I can get a certain girl's number, proving I can do whatever..

It's not even my friends. They don't sit there and say "do this, do that.. " they couldn't care less, we're just friends having a good time..

I guess it has something to do with reactions. For whatever the reason I've always liked the "You're the man!" reaction you get from doing whatever it is you're trying to prove..

Do women even do shit like this? lol..

I'm done with it. It's a fucking waste of time and enegy and my friends aren't going to love me more or less because of these things.. I just can't believe I've been so juvenile fr so long..

Women do do it to an extent but not as much as men, or at least, me and my friends dont.

We never goad each other into drinking contests or doing stupid pranks cause were aware that its stupid, unlike men! lol

I think with women everythings more under the surface - Ive been on nights out and you kind of feel youre in competition with people to prove whos more attractive or who can pull the most guys. Its never talked about, cause we know its shallow and stupid and dont wanna acknowledge it but we still do it.

Yeah, I knew you girls thought about stuff like this! Well, didn't really know but suspected.. It's also like guys including me tend to be more open about sex also.. When it comes to public places anyway..

I have no idea how much you girls talk about it, but I suspect it's almost as much as us just not in front of the entire world..

I usually don't hear a girl yell "Damn, I'd hit that!" across the table..

No, lol, but if a hot guy comes into the bar, we'll acknowledge it with a "Wow, hes hot!" and then it becomes the mission of the night to have a bit of him, if youre single of course ;) However, if there are some insecure or just plain mean girls in the group, they will go out of their way to get him first - just to prove they can, which I hate.

lol we call those people "cockblockers" .. It's happend to me before but I usually don't sweat it because I'm not really all that interested in confrontations.. I just know now, if I want a girl, go after her and don't wait!

Among my friends I don't. There's really no need for it. If people don't like me or stuff I do, they can go screw themselves. I'm not going to do stuff just to impress people.
