According to my roommate, I talk a lot in my sleep. He says most of the time, I sound like Delirious from ROH, and sometimes I'm speaking poetry (wtf?). Also, he says when he has to wake me up, my body is all catorted. He told me yesterday " it look liked you fought your dreams and lost so you tried to hump them" (once again, wtf?).
Hopefully I'm not the only one with bad sleep habits. My girlfriend doesn't complain if she stays over, so hopefully it isnt constant.
Anyone else with bad sleep habits? By that I mean:
I've been told on more then one occassion by my wife that I've hit her while sleeping. Absolutely none of it was intentional at all, and I tried to just make fun of it after I found out she was alright. However, there was a time when we were living in an apartment, that I was half-asleep (but still couldn't wake up), and felt myself punch her in the chest. It was one of the worst feelings I had ever felt when I woke up. Luckily, that was almost 2 1/2 years ago, and nothing like that has happened since.
The only thing I do now - from what I've been told by her and a friend of ours we went camping with - is that I make noises when I sleep. Not talking or yelling really, but just random noises during the night. I have no idea what they are because I've never heard them, but I guess it's kinda creepy. I should probably take part in a sleep study so I can have professionals tell me how screwed up I am. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. I talk a lot in my sleep and laugh. I guess that is a constant, and I have like violent spasms where I have hit the girlfriend in my sleep. And apparently my snoring in loud and obnoxious.

Re: Bad Sleep Habits?
My friend was telling me the other day how his girlfriend bit him in her sleep. At least she claims she was sleeping. Personally, I just think he'd done something wrong, and she wanted some revenge.

I think I just have this bad habit of having to hold onto something. I always sleep with like a pillow clutched in my grasp. I guess it isn't a bad way to sleep in the future when I'm not so lonely in a bed it will be a positive thing. Just right now it is kind of sad sounding. I also have this nasty habit of sleeping on my stomach. I don't know why, but it is the only way I can go to sleep most of the time. Don't know if that would be considered a bad habit or not.

Nah, sleeping on your stomach isn't a bad habit. I tend to fall asleep faster (or easier) that way, too. And, clutching a pillow doesn't sound as sad as clutching a stuffed animal... unless "pillow" was just the word you chose instead. I would clutch a stuffed animal if it was one of those big ass ones. I don't know, I guess I like to feel like something is there. I got big puffy pillows so it works out pretty well for me. But yeah, it is a little odd...probably not the worse habit in the world.

I have horrible insomnia. I stay up until 3-4 sometimes, and have to get up at 7 for work. Usually every night, so I'm used to it by now. I guess you can count that as a bad habit.

I can't lay flat and always have to be propped up like I'm sick or something other wise I drool all over the place. Someone told me I sang in my sleep once....lolz. I have a tendency to dream in the early hours of the morning just as I'm getting ready to wake up. And it's always a good dream and it pisses me off that I always wake up when something good is about to happen.
