So, the weather is getting chillier now, so the amount of time spent outside excersizing is decreasing by the minute. When winter comes, some of us stuff our faces with food more...do you counteract it by working out at all?
Basically, I'm curious what everyone's excersize routines are. Do you go to a gym, workout at home, don't do anything? What activities do you do when you're sweatin' it up? Further, do your workout habits change depending on the season?
I'm going to join a gym this year that's somewhere on my trip home between work and the house. That way, I can just stop off after work a few times a week for about an hour or so. I have a treadmill at home, but never use it as there are too many other distractions for me when I'm home.
Discuss how you get your workout...and if it's only through daily sex sessions, I envy you.
Generally, I don't workout much, and spend most time complaining about the fact that I can't lose weight (without ever giving it a sizeable effort). But, I've made it a goal of mine to go to the gym about 3x a week for the rest of the year, in the hopes of seeing some kind of difference before the start of '10.
I'll probably be spending a lot of time on the eliptical machines and doing some moderate weight-lifting. And, for added "sweating" activities, I'll probably play drums at home on the days I don't go work out. Weekends will be reserved for Xbox and football!

The main workout I get is from kickboxin and wrestling training. I do that a good four hours out of three or four days a week. I love to get a good cardio routine or find something helpful to work with around the apartment, but I try to go to the local gym or rec center if I can.

Had one of my most counter productive months in a long time during October for working out.
But for the most part I weight train 5-6 times a week. I've been doing it for almost 2 years and am very goal oriented with it. Maybe being a wrestling fan since the age of 10 and watching speculated juicers on TV has skewed my view on the ideal human physique.
I'd love to join a recreational sports league of some sort though.
Winter is the worst time for me like most. I don't do shit. It's hard year round to do anything though like running because my knees are so fucked through years of abuse as well as my back. I still (which helps now) try to hit the gym at school 3 to 4 times a week for either the stair master or weights. Although work load dictates how often I am able to go.
I'm finding the winter is slowing me down. I'm working on muscle more than cardio, which is bad since I've got a run coming up in 6 weeks. The problem is, running really loses it's appeal during those cold, dark winter nights. Luckily, I also have footy once a week to help keep up my cardio work.

I joined a gym 2 months ago and haven't been in the last month due to being sick and working 50 to 60 hours a week. I'm gonna try and get a schedule going and use that trainer I'm paying for since I know jack shit about what I'm doing at the gym. I'd use the treadmill all day if I had no guidance
I'm fat so obviously my current plan isn't working but I do curls/shoulder shrugs/etc. with 25 lb dumbells daily and try to get in sit ups, but that's pretty much it excluding anything that is done like working or screwing around with friends. I need cardio to actually lose weight though.. and stop eating these delicious cheesy poofs.

My plan of going to the gym tonight after work definitely didn't have the power to match my depressed mood this evening. So, just like every other day, I'm sitting on my ass in front of the computer and Xbox, hoping that the hand-eye coordination will pay dividends in the end!
