I am really excited about January coming up because that is when my baby is due. I kind of shake it off and give a bit of a no big deal when people ask me but I really am excited and can't wait. I'm gonna be such an overprotective nervous wreck. That part I can wait for though.

I wouldn't worry about that being the "guy" thing to say. You're soon-to-be parent... who wouldn't be excited about that? Congrats, by the way! And, I think I'm with you in that, if I had a girl, I'd be incredibly over-protective of her.

Dude, there's nothing wrong with that at all! I think everyone would be excited if they're about to have a kid ... unless it comes as a result of a 1 night stand.
I'm sure any man who's gonna be a parent when their baby comes out of the womb, welcoming them to the world, is excited.
Congratulations Rated X on early parenthood.
Not this guy........

I was nervous as hell but I was also 25 years old with my first kid. By the time I had my second daughter at 29 I was much more ready, relaxed and excited for it.
The first year is the easiest and the hardest Troy. The sleep all the time and can't go anywhere unless you move em. But it's good because that first year is a big change with everything you have known before the day she is born.
Personally, i feel now like I have had kids forever and I can't really remember what it was like to be able to just be like "Hey, let's go out to the bar then see a movie, or better yet......ROADTRIP!!"
