I have a constant ringing in both ears from the constant ear infections I used to get. The last one earlier this year set off the constant ringing. Pretty much yeah nothing can be done about it. There is no surgery, no nothing. Until you go deaf you're pretty much stuck with it.
Yeah, my hearing is already suffering from listening to extremely loud music. I mean, not only is my music loud but it is meant to be extremely heavy. Makes it super easy to blow out my speakers if I listened to it that loud in my car. I don't listen much to my iPod anymore now that I drive everywhere. So I guess that is a good thing.
Shame to hear about this DD. Hopefully everything gets better. I can only imagine hearing a constant ringing in my ears. That sounds awful.

I dislike playing loud music and it's good Danny that you're giving advice to everyone about it. I don't want to go deaf at a old age listening to loud ass music. Parents, friends, or your siblings should be alerted before they'll have a hard-time hearing.

lul wut Dak? Most music sounds better the louder it is.
Like the majority here, I have to listen to my music loud. I'll just have to put my future hearing at risk in exchange for the awesomeness that is loud music.

how loud is the ringing in your ears? ...just curious. I've been sleeping with a fan on in my room for years but not because of ringing or anything.. just to block out other noise. It's a soothing noise and helps me sleep.

If you have to play your music loud for it to sound good, you are listening to the wrong kind of music IMO.
Just an opinion, we all have one.

It's not about the type of music, it's about your preference on how loud you listen to it. A lot of people enjoy their music loud, it doesn't really matter which type it is. I can listen to rock, metal, rap or whatever loud and I will enjoy it more. I'm not saying it doesn't sound good when it's not loud, just that it's more enjoyable.
