Facebook issues

Who else is having them? That site has been slow as hell lately.

Also, how long do you see that site lasting? You think it will be replaced with something else newer, and more hip?

I seem to have problems signing in, but apart from that, it's all good.

I don't see it getting replaced anytime soon. It's outlasted MySpace and Bebo, and Twitter isn't going to come close to it IMO.

It has fits occasionally, but Facebook chat just isn't reliable.

Yeah sometimes Facebook loads slow as sin for me. But I don't go on it much. Just every now and then, mainly on it because my family all has Facebooks. But yeah, I do notice it being slow and bugging a lot. I could see them replacing it with a new look and layout, but I don't think they'll do anything too drastic.

On the note about if something will replace it, there will always be more social networking alternatives. Look at Twitter popping up recently, and Facebook popped up after MySpace. MySpace made this mold and now even forums have a social networking aspect. It is the next big thing and as long as they offer something the other doesn't there will be more.

I would love to stab it with a fork. I have constant troubles signing in, pictures being "unavailable", it'll go super slow, my apps aren't working (pieces of flair, bumper stickers, ect), and fb chat seems to be always frozen. They must be trying new things with it or something.

I've been having a lot of trouble viewing comments and/or friends lists. It's super annoying. It's been this way for the past week or so.

That tens to happen to me too, although you should get rid of the shitty applictions.

I think a facebook messenger could be on its way within the next 12 months(similar to msn)

I don't see a FB messenger happening. For the past few weeks though, I set it to remember me so I don't have to sign in every time, and It never does. The you get those oops errors, and no memory on line 82 or whatever. Plus the slowness is a pain in the ass.

It was doing that to me too, so I looked in the FAQs, and there's something you have to do with the security tab in Internet Explorer Options. I think they must have changed something recently.

Yeah it goes slow & fucks round at times. Most likely just a whole bunch of server issues that facebook need to sort out. They had a problem a few weeks back where they was showing a bunch of old posts in the news feed. Things happen from time to time.
