I play in beer pong tournaments like every 3 or so months. Winner usually takes home a $600 pot; 2nd takes home like $200 and 3rd takes home like $20.
I've started to like flip cup a little bit more, and if I want to play a card game, I'll play Asshole.
A friend of mine also has a back inverter, which flips you upside down. Apparently he uses to relieve stress off of his lower back. However, we've since started using it to shotgun beers upside down. It's amazing.
It's a fun drinking game no doubt, but it wasn't really what me and my group of friends where playing when I was out at parties drinking a lot. For us it was always quarters, flip cups, power hour and asshole as the drinking games of choice.

I've honestly never played a game of beer pong. Although I'm not the house party type of person. I played flip cup once, the one time I went to a house party. I prefer the bar, or titty bar if I'm not drinking at home or just hanging at a buddies house watching a game or something. But I do love watching videos of those sick trick shots on youtube.
Since I don't drink, I don't see the appeal of it. Moreover I hate the game because there used to be college fratboys at my apartment that would play it in the hallways nonstop, keeping my wide awake at night.

Beer pong is mad fun. Especially because it's just a good chance for you to act cocky and not get shit for it, as long as you can back it up.
There's a lot of good drinking games I know.
"My Penis" is probably the best one. Everybody is in a circle sitting down and you have a beer in front of you. The first person (guy or girl) starts off and says "My penis/vagina is..." and then describe it starting with the letter A...
"My penis is angry."
"My vagina is adventurous."
...until somebody can't think of something, and then they have to chug a beer. Do this from A-Z.
Drinking games > just drinking. My friend is having the "Beer Olympics" at her house on Thursday...so BP, flip cup, and all of that will go on. I'm sure there's more I could bring up, but I'm just tired.
