Angry Beavers was indeed a great show. That was at the stage where I was starting to get out of cartoons (more because cartoons around that time SUCKED, not because I was getting older), but it was one of the better cartoons in that time period.

Yeah and I also watched DBZ.

I wonder how big of a chunk of my life I wasted just listening to:

RAAAAAAAARRRRAAAAAAHHHHAAAAAAAAYAAAAAAAAAH for fifteen minutes every episode, xD. No problem though, it opened me to other anime.
DBZ was greatness, I hated the GT episodes though. The Cell saga was also really long, but it was a fantastic show, everybody in my class loved it. Somehow thanks to DBZ, I got into Sailor Moon, back then I noticed they had similar 'styles' in the way they where made, aka anime, and I got into it. 'Meetball Head' was awesome~!

Did anybody ever watch Fly Tales? It use to be on at 6am over here on CN, there was also Courage the Cowardly Dog, geeze, Cartoon Network use to have some sold stuff years ago, i'm not a fan of the current programmes they air...there's also another show that was on there which I enjoyed but I can't think of it, it may have been Johnny Bravo, but there was also something else too. Edit - ROAD RUNNER.

RUGRATS, NINJA TURTLES AND CATDOG were the main ones. I did also watch Keenan and Kel, All That, Rocko's Modern life, Doug, bascially anything on Nickelodeon during the late 90's, I watched. I always get really excited when there's a show from my time that's on. It brings back memories.

Hell yeah I remember Courage! That show was fantastic. Cow and Chicken and Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy are two other CN shows I can remember.

But I <3 Courage. I feel ashamed that I forgot about him.

Re: Kids shows you grew up watching

I liked GT because my brother and I were seriously into it. So much so that my brother got the entire series off of eBay in Japanese (Goku penis and all). So while it was actually a shitty series, I liked it simply because it was in Japanese and I was watching it before all my friends. The Cell Saga was way too long-winded. The best definitely had to be the Sayian and Frieza saga, with Vegeta being my favorite.

IT'S OVER NINE THOUSSAAAAAAAND.

Road Runner is epic. Next to Tom and Jerry it's my favorite "old cartoon." I always wanted Wiley Coyote to catch Road Runner, that smug ass hole.

Courage was also one of the better cartoons in that time period where cartoons began to decline. I watched quite a few episodes but eventually I got into that age where I was "too old for cartoons". Strange, because now that I'm an adult I look forward to watching Tom and Jerry in the morning.

TMNT was before my time, but because there's a generational gap between me and my brother, I was exposed to it. It was a great show, the cheesiness just added to it all. There hasn't been a great TMNT series since the original. Donatello was my favorite.

Re: Kids shows you grew up watching

It was mostly the Hyperbolic Time Chamber shit that got on my nerves with the Cell Saga, especially the theme for those scenes.

But when Gohan went SSJ 2 on Cell's ass... oooooh the epicness.

Nothing---AND NOTHING can defeat Vegeta going Super Sayian after the Frieza saga though. I remember crying tears of happiness as a child, how pathetic lol.

I had a love/hate relationship with the old man in CTCD. I loved him because he was hilarious when mistreating his wife, yet I hated him because of his constant jibes at courage ' Stupid Dog!'

Vegeta was my favorite too, wasn't he Trunks father? I can't remember that far back. Cell was my favorite monster guy along with Freeza, I use to mark when Cell 'ate' people~! I use to watch Road Runner every single day after school, they don't show it anymore, i'd give my left arm to see it aired again. Tom and Jerry was great, but then they started the new episodes, and then the movies, and they absoloutely sucked. I always liked the concept that they couldn't talk, but the movies kind of ruined that; Tom and Jerry and the Magic Ring? Seriously? Old school was always ftw.

Yeah he was Trunks' dad. Trunks was pretty cool, but I was pissed when he stopped using his sword and changed to a look similar to Vegeta's. They treated Vegeta like such a bitch in the GT Saga. Needing Bulma to help him go SSJ 4? Screw that! Even in Japanese I almost stopped watching, it pissed me off so much lol.

The Tom and Jerry movies also pissed me off. Remember the ones where Tom and Jerry talked? TOM AND JERRY DON'T TALK, DAMN IT. The old episodes are definitely the best. Just seeing Tom run into a rake and yell getting his paw clamped in between something is hilarious. My favorite episode has to be Spike trying Tyke to sleep, but Tom and Jerry keep waking Tyke up who has the hiccups. I could watch that episode all day.
