Allow me to recount the manner in which I got engaged to my ex-fiancee many years ago.

I was 19 (27, now) and my current and I were at my buddies keg party. Three kegs of sweet, sweet beer and a bunch of good friends.

Anyway from the moment I get there I start pounding brews. Probably get down a good 6-7 by the time some one points out that there is also booze in the kitchen. Oops.

So I make for the kitched and there is a bottle of sambuca going around. So we're sitting there like six or eight of us passing the bottle around with the intent on seeing the bottom.

Come to think of us, it was probably three or four of us and I was just really blitzed. ANYWAY...

I can't recall much of the night, just the end. I was vomiting pretty hard in my buddies bathroom when someone knocks and asks if there is anyone in there. It's my lady friend. So I crawl to the door and unlock it and we share a wonderful bonding moment taking turns being very ill.

Eventually talk turns drunk mushy and I end up proposing to her.

Some romantic I am eh?

She accepts and we drunkenly get thrust into a cab by my annoyed friend and sent home where we promptly pass out.

Next morning I actually do remember doing it and we stuck to it. Even though it was a horrendous idea.

I have many drunken stories...but I may let slip this one.

A few weeks ago I was out a house party, and got really drunk. I must have had minimum ten pints, not including any spirits or wine. I remember grinding with this woman all night, before "doing the business". It wasn't until I woke up that I realized it was the host's mother. Fortunately we don't know each too well so it wasn't too awkward.

I suppose the best one was during my 2nd year at uni, when we held the music society jazz night. I was society president and was welcoming people as they arrived before becoming MC for the night and numerous people were buying me alcohol throughout the night (including the SU present purchasing a round of tequila slammers for the society exec, god I love tequila) and I ended up quite sozzled (we all did lol). Anyway, the night went on and came to an end, and we helped the SU exec to move the equipment from the music dept back to the music dept then we were talking and drinking in the music dept and ended up at about 12.30am riding the computer room office chairs down the concrete slope next to the music dept.

The porter Nigel turned up and asked us what was happening, saw we were drunk and just said "make sure you lock it before you leave" and left us to it.

My best was I got kicked out of a bar, was blacked out and then took on every cop in the town lol. That ended up wiht me getting charged with a million charges fun stuff lol
