If something like this is legalized. I thing it needs to be heavily watched and regulated. I would only allow this in special circumstances. I'd rather not see people become vegetables or go through excruciating pain. It can be the right decision in certain situations.

When an animal is extremely sick, most people, take the animal to the vet. At the vet, the animal gets euthanized. The same option should be available through our hospitals, for humans.
I think Assisted Suicide should be totally legal. It's legal for a woman to end the life in her womb, it's legal to end the life of a suffering animal, why not have the choice to end your own? If I had some kind of Alzheimer's, and believe me I worked in a nursing home once...it's not a pleasant thing to watch a human being's mind wittle to nothing. It was the reason I left that job because I couldn't bear to see these people suffering, alone, and abandoned by their families. No if I lost my mind to the point where quality was no longer in my life, or I had a terminal illness that caused me never ending pain...I'd want out. I've already decided when my son's older to tell him if I ever reach that point that he's to have my plug pulled.
Everyone dies. If the patient is in intense pain and will die shortly or is a complete vegetable, it's inhuman not to end it. Life isn't a movie, cases of abuse would be the extreme exception.
