Pfft. Swine flu? Superstitious nonsense. But yeah, I'm actually not worried about swine flu because of the media making a point that it's hardly killed anyone. I don't want to die, you see.
Does the media control us? To some extent. That's the obvious answer, and I hold that it's the correct answer. Occam's razor and all that. It really depends on how gullible you are.
Still, I don't think it's right to think of the media as some omnipotent being that's constantly trying to corrupt us. As long as they keep me entertained with newspapers, television and DVDs, they can do what they like. Doesn't bother me.
Yes the media controls us because we.... well not me but YOU to be more precise yes it controls you, because you like to conform to whats acceptable and I don't.
