I just don't understand how gun crimes in big cities mean that me in small town USA should have my gun taken away?
Does that make sense?
I understand that you people from England have a different point of view because that is all you have ever known. You have been conditioned to believe that 'guns are bad'. Just look at it from a different point of view for a minute. As I said, I am all for gun regulation. A gun bad would be unfeasible and unwise.

Um, guns are bad. They are designed with the sole intent of killing others. Not sure how it's us who need to look at things differently when it's your country that has been brought up to believe guns are acceptable, and yet you have the highest gun related crime rate.
And yes, it makes sense to take away your gun because there is nothing prevent you, the ordinary citizen, from going and shooting someone else.

Guns are not made for killing others, unless by others you mean all living animals as well as skeet and targets. Are you glad that police have guns? If you lived on a farm and had animals that could be attacked by predators would you want a gun? If you lived in remote wilderness where bears and mountain lions live, is it bad to have a gun to protect your family? If you think anyone of these people deserve the right to bear arms, why shouldn't every law obiding citizen? By the way I hate guns, they freak me out, but I love freedom!
And yet if we were to ban guns, only the criminals would have them. What a wonderful thought.

I would say if you don't want to be attacked by a bear, don't live in the fucking woods.

But over here its extremely rare that you would ever encounter gun crime. The facts speak for themselves. Its clearly NOT safer over there because any idiot can go and buy a fucking gun.

Because throughout your history guns have traditionally been banned. Throughout our history guns haven't. There's weakly enforced regulations on them now, but either way an overall ban wouldn't stop any gun crime, to think so is quite ridiculous.
