Euthanasia - Do we have the right to die?

Should we have the right to die? I know in this country euthanasia isnt allowed.. they would rather see you suffer and spend the rest of your life being a non respondant cabbage in a chair rather than end your suffering.

Which brings another question.. should we have the same right even if there is nothing physically wrong with us? I mean its our life..surely we can chose to do with it what we see fit.. as long as it brings no harm to others.

Yea, I ain't against people wanting to kill themselves. If someone wants to kill themselves then they are going to do it and nobody will be able to stop them. Obviously the family isn't going to want them to die but some people just don't want to live. Also I don't believe in keeping people alive in a vegetative state to be honest or if they got really bad injuries. Yea of course there will always be the 1 case where someone will come out of it but its so rare that it is rather pointless to keep them alive for years when they are going to die anyways. It is a waste of money and resources IMO.

I do not support a person's right to die by a doctors help or anything like that. But you are always going to have people committ suicide. I do not think the there is any need to make it legal to do or anything.

As for people in a vegatative state, I think that everyone should adress that problem in legal documents before it happens to them. If not the closest relative gets to make that choice I suppose.

I am against medically assisted suicide (I feel the hypocratic oath should be enforced). Anyone who feels strongly that they should have the right to die should prove it fully in a court of law before the suicide can be allowed. It is not enough to say they are harming no-one else because the emotional scars that suicide brings to soceity in general should be addressed on a case-by-case basis.

I had a sig, once.

Yes it chronicled Wolverine's battle with the government over his mutant powers.

This is a tough one for me. Part of me thinks that no one should have to live in that vegetative state. Like Rambo said, it drains resources. Then on the other hand, I think about the families. I don't know if I could let the doctor kill a member of my family while they were still technically alive.

*sigh*
