I just wanted to post a welcome back thread from our short period of downtime this evening. You will see some new faces, staff changes, more posts and threads, and new forums.
Wrestling Clique has officially merged with Wrestling Society Forums. As with any merge, there are sure to be some small issues with forum settings, permissions, etc. I see now some smiles are missing To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. So bare with us while we make some adjustments.
Additionally, please welcome the new staff members, as well as the Wrestling Society Forum members. It's an exciting time for WC and for WS, as the balance between Wrestling Discussion and General Discussions will now be met.
There will be additional posts made regarding the merge and additional information we need to pass on. In the meantime, understand that flaming will not be tolerated on this forum, period. It's difficult enough for some to go through this merge as it's going to be a little bit of a change for them. There is no sense in anyone here flaming another member. You are free to express your opinions overall on the merge, but don't make it personal.
Welcome back everyone, and enjoy the new and improved WC.

because forum mergers usually fail. I've seen many attempted, and they almost always leave the resulting forum much worse off than it was pre-merger. Even Felix spoke of foreseen difficulties, so you might shoot a question his way as well if you're still curious, and if you still think that this can ONLY be a good thing.
Generally speaking, mergers tend to not work because of a few bad attitudes towards it, and that doesn't mean the merge wasn't a success, just that people didn't give it a chance. IMO, we have a excellent staff and we're all on board to make this work. There will be give and take, but at the end of the day we just want to have a forum that is active, where most will get along, and treat others as they want to be treated. It's all way YOU make of it. If you're going to be negative from the start, then it's probably not going to work for you. If you are positive (and say you do run into some issues), there are plenty of channels to put your ideas and thoughts through so they can be address.
Like Tommy said, I'm pretty excited about it. The more the merrier... isn't that what they say!

The fact that they tend to not work was what I was pointing out. The "because...." and following rationalization isn't really important. I honestly am not being negative, just realistic (this is again supported when you say stuff like "there will be give and take"). I've witnessed far more mergers fail than succeed, so rationally, I'm not going to expect much out of WC/WS merger.
I was just explaining why my expectations weren't too high, as this seemed to be unfathomable to Tommy Red.
So long as your username was exactly the same, yes. If not, just PM me the username you had at WS, your name here, and which you want to keep and the accounts get merged together.
Assassin. Did you know the only reason you found this place was because of a merge?
GD, Lemons, Peace, God, Deuce, Griff, SS and many many others came from a November 2006 merge. Looks like that turned out ok.
Some people like to find the negative in things, while others look to the positive.

I think it was in the SB I was saying that posters that are new to this site as part of the merge should look to PS (Admin), Smurf (Smod), Bon, Deuce (mods), GD (HoF), Lems (great poster and influential here) and SS (general racanteur and amusement god) and take heart that people can intergrate extremely well on this site and that some things just take a lil time and patience. On day one of any merger, I would hope anybody would just say "lets give it a little time".
Also, has anybody seen my slippers?
