Indeed, I'm pretty excited for it. WS guys just need to give it some time. I hated when WH merged with WC, took some time but I liked it eventually. Anyway good to be back, should be interesting to see what happens in the days to come.

I think it was in the SB I was saying that posters that are new to this site as part of the merge should look to PS (Admin), Smurf (Smod), Bon, Deuce (mods), GD (HoF), Lems (great poster and influential here) and SS (general racanteur and amusement god) and take heart that people can intergrate extremely well on this site and that some things just take a lil time and patience. On day one of any merger, I would hope anybody would just say "lets give it a little time".
Also, has anybody seen my slippers?
perhaps you should update the Intro for new members post <,<

wait are you saying Magic Johnson is black, has AIDS and has it better than ME?
As much as I moaned about WS's failings, I always felt it was the forum I was a part of and even though I probably hindered it at times, I felt as if I helped contribute to it getting where it was (in terms of quality). I liked WC because it was a break from the WS regime and it was, well, different. That said, as time grew on, posting at WC became more of a chore for me. Way way too many noobs (Atleast the WS noobs had the courtesy of saving my brain by just plain not posting) and some of the members' retardation became more apparent, and it ALWAYS felt like an Off Topic forum with a side order of wrestling discussion. I come on wrestling forums to talk, primarily, about wrestling as I can talk about my life's goals or whatever other ambiguous topic happens to be made with others. Looking around the newly merge forum I can't say I'm too pleased if I'm honest. I liked Ws's layout alot, and WC's layout kinda annoyed me.
I'll stick around for a while to see how things go, but I take the same view of Assasin that I don't expect this to go well.
Sorry the pessimism.

You think it will be the same now the merge has happened? Those wrestling posters from WS are here lol.
What we want is the best of both worlds, and I think we have the member base here to produce good off topic forums as well as some good wrestling discussion like WS had. That is pretty much why DD merged them. He saw the advantages of combining the forums and taking the positives from each, so there isn't really any reason to expect the quality of wrestling discussion to go down from WS considering the amount of good posters here.
Every forum has tons of nubs when it starts getting big.

Both forums have been around for like a year and I have yet to see the "big" unless you count a group of loyal members and then a tonne of illiterate nubs who either A) don't post and are spambots or B) make one line posts then never return
There was a point several months ago on WS (before the takeover) where the majority agreed it was better to just look after the interests of loyal members than to try and get the forum filled with useless members for the sake of being "big".

Well we can have it both ways to an extent with the merge. WC and WS both had big advantages over each other, so I see no reason not to expect a very enjoyable forum now these advantages have been brought together.
'Big forum' doesn't necessarily mean a forum with no atmosphere and a load of random spamming nubs. We still want it to feel like 'home'.
I don't blame you for negativity though. It is going to take some getting used to, but just see how it goes. I think it will be a huge success.
