Most of you guys know who I am from WC, but I also know a whole bunch of you see me as a nameless faceless "Admin". Therefore let me give you a quick breakdown of who I am. This will hopefully help you guys tell the members a little about me if I happen to not get a PM from them or whatever......its basically just a DD infomercial at this point.
I will try to keep it brief and bullet points to hold your interest.
33 years old
Grew up 20 minutes South of Boston. Moved 20 minutes North of Boston in 2002.
Married 8+ years. 2 daughters 7 and 4 years old.
I work nights for Verizon. This is the main reason why I do the forums and why I manage to have so much time as a 33 year old. I work in a 10 story building alone from 4pm to midnight and alot of the times I have ZERO to do workwise. Therefore I had a ton of time to dick around on the internet.
Obsessed with wrestling since 1996, but really followed it my whole life. Took a break from like 16-21 years old.
Haven't missed a Monday Night Raw since October 1997.
Big WWE mark. I try for the love of god to follow TNA, but it bores me to tears.
Use to admin jimmyvan.com/board from 2003-2005. Site went dead when the owner got out of the wrestling biz. Jimmy Van would regularly hook me up with wrestlers and I would 'attempt' to interview them. Jimmy Van had some real good legit inside sources and we would often get news before any of the major Metzler types. I even credit myself a bit for breaking the story in 2005 that Jericho was leaving the WWE. Nobody had asked him before during his Fozzy Radio plugging. I asked him straight out "When does your contract expire and do you plan on resigning with the company etc etc" He then started talking about how he wanted to do other things etc etc. I dropped a bombshell and I didn't even really mean to so much. The next day it was all over the net that. I felt pretty cool that day. haha
As his site was dying and I was fueding with the current staff at JV I decided to start my own forum. I called it 'Monksdiner.com' it was supposed to be a Seinfeld based theme. After realizing that niche wasn't working I dropped the Seinfeld gimmick and went with "Entertainment". Many people were still confused though as I featured tons of wrestling. I refused to give up the wrestling aspect of the forums.
Long story short.........The Entertainment thing was never really something I was interested in and in Jan 2008 I decided to make the big transition to full time wrestling site and the place has really been a hit ever since. If you built it, they will come I suppose.
I also pride myself in forum loyalty. I will give ANYONE the benefit of the doubt until I am proven otherwise. Generally speaking you can burn me. I may forgive, but I never forget. I also consider myself a very easy guy to get along but can still be taken seriously at the same time. Basically....act like an adult. I will treat you like one. Act like my 7 year old and throw fits and act a fool. I'll treat you like you're 7. But again.....ask anyone that knows me. Not everyone may like me, but they will say that I am fair and reasonable.
My goal for WS is to make it a hit traffic wise, bring in quality members and most importantly, give you old school members a solid, reliable home for years to come. WS will remain its own identity and will NOT be merged with my other forum. Not now, not a year from now. Not ever (unless you ALL leave me and its completely abandoned. haha). I knew PY was burnt out and considering selling for quite some time now and jumped at the opportunity when it arose.
You will see some changes in the future. I plan on spending this month evaluating everything this site needs and offers. The cream always rises to the top and I can spot good members a mile away. Let's make this forum one of the premier wrestling forums on the internet together. *sings kumbaya*
Thanks for reading.
