Over the next week or two the current Supermod and Admin team will be scowering the internet looking for the next WC supermod to join us in the world domination.
Read the whole thing then at the end I will explain what we are looking for as far as a response to this thread goes.
Ok, maybe it isn't world domination we are looking for but the next supermod must be capable of the following..... (this is probably also a good way to see how we do things, but its no big deal. Alot of people have been there, done that)
These are in no particular order.
1. Solidarity with objectivity. Someone who won't be a thorn in staffs side on EVERY single issue. It's nice to have an opinion and voice it, but to be a contrarian just to be one gets a bit old. Try to voice your opinions and look into others rationally. The Admin and Smod team use a majority rules voting system. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose but the vast majority of the time its one voice. The trick is to not let the majority know which was you sided. Prevents drama outside the staff room.
2. Loyalty. I don't want someone who is just using it as a ego boost. I want someone who is loyal to WC. We want WC to be your main focus of posting and visiting as far as wrestling forums are concerned. If you are a member of other forums we would like you to use your new position to perhaps persuade some people over to WC (within those forums rules of course)
3. Longevity. I would like to see God's streak broken by Deuce and Crocker both, but this new guy has to have long term interests involved and also knowing that is likely the farthest they will make it up the food chain.
4. Creativity - Something I feel is a little lacking from all of current upper staff of us frankly. Crocker does the most by far imo with his PPV history, hottest celebs etc, but I feel alot of times that the rest of us come up short. I know I have great ideas sometimes but I never follow up on them since I am so ADD and end up starting a project then wandering off on 203 other requests and tasks. One thing I always appreciated about God was he would run lots of tedious contests, stats, btb's etc that alot of upper staff tend to get lazy with. I am the guiltiest party of this.
5. Regular tasks - Detailed in the smod forum. They include monitoring mods, members, spammers. Running the awards. Monitoring shoutbox, closing threads, trashing threads etc etc. You catch the drift.
Personally, I don't care if the person is "controversial" as long as they aren't a douchebag. I don't care if they "questioned staff" before either. Often times you need to be staff to see what staff actually does. Also alot of times, former staff think they know it all and it comes off as bitter. I know I personally have done this before, so this will not be held against you.
We know alot of these posters very well and while we have what we might call "The List" of potential people, but I am also interested to hear what the people think. If you have someone that you really think would do a great job at this then feel free to let us know. Please don't turn this into a spam or joke thread.
This is
NOT a popularity contest, it is who would best make WC a better forum to post at with their new status and responsibilites. Often times the more popular a poster is the not so great a job they do at their position for fear of members not liking them anymore. Sometimes staff needs to make tough decisions that can hurt some feelings. You gotta have a set sometimes in this crazy forum world.
