We may be doing this sooner than later. The forum will have to be closed for some time and you will also notice alot of features that need to be removed as the 4.0 versions arent ready yet.
This is a major upgrade/overhaul so I apoligize in advance for whatever we may lose
IE: VCash, awards, arcade scores etc etc.
I do plan on writing down most of this stuff so that when the features are ready again we can simply add all your old awards back to your profiles and such.
We may just ditch awards altogether though. It's really a matter of seeing what WC looks like when 4.0 is done.
I want people to keep in mind to that a shoutbox will not be available for a little while and that it may look very basic for a little while.
Thanks for your patience and when we return you will see a bunch of new features, additons and subtractions.
We will of course have a complete backup of everything here on WC to refer back to. While your avatars and sigs should remain intact, you might want to save a copy just in case. As DD mentioned, this step in upgrading the forums is a major overhaul. WC has run for years and quite frankly, we have alot of "bloat" on the backend that might be the cause of some slow load times, delays, errors and whatnot. I think the upgrade, although at first might not seem like a big improvement, will ultimately be one of the best things we've done.
I will make a additional announcement later on this evening detailing how everything is going to happen and the order in which it will occur. We will start working on stripping the forum down now as a preparation for the upgrade which in fact won't be for a few more weeks, but there is alot of technical issues to work on..
