I don't know if this is an issue for anyone else, but it's something that has bothered me a little, and as I'm begining to use the section more now I thought I'd mention something. It might be something that nothing can really be done about, but I've always held to the phrase "If you don't ask, you don't get"...
So yeah, It's not so much an issue in the MMA, WWE and TNA subforums there but for the Puro, Classic and Independants I've noticed that quite a few of the Thread Titles don't actually include what promotion the match enclosed is from. It's not much of an issue for those in the know, but for me, whose just now really wanting to check these forms of wrestling out it makes it difficult to differenciate. I can't see if a match is CHIKARA for instance, which is a promotion I do wanna check out, but can't see.
I'll admit to not having used the search function to check if that would help, but I think that standardising the Thread Titles in those forums would really help with that as well. For instance, if someone wanted to find a full WWE PPV the could search "WWE - The Bash - 2009"... or something similar and it would bring that thread up as the first and most likely answer to that search. Or "ROH - Take No Prisoners - 2009" and so on. If it's just a single specific match that is posted then you could just put the wrestlers names on the end of the title so that it still tells you what promotion the match was for, what PPV/show it was on, and when it was.
It may seem like a strange thought, but I honestly don't believe I'm the only person that would benefit from this idea, and I just think it would make the whole section more accesible to those that already use it, as well as those like me who are just a little intimidated by the vastness of the whole thing.

I'm of course not saying that you should go through all the current threads and change the titles just to make it easier for me, and I'm perfectly willing to use the Search function, but surely you can see how standardising the Thread Titles in those sections would really help make the search easier (and as such quicker) for those of us that don't have time to search through twentysome threads to find what we're looking for.

That's why you use the search function. For the most part, most threads state what promotion a match is from. Every single match I upload, I say what show it's from. All it takes is a simple google search to know what company it's from.
Looking at every thread from the first page of the Indy Section, every thread except three lists what company the match took place in. Among the three that do not (All mine) it clearly lists what show it's from. Not to mention, two of the matches are from Supercard of Honor, which you can see was an event that had the ROH defended at making it a ROH show. So that leaves one thread in all of the first page that doesn't straight out give the promotion's name. And yet, even in that, the screenshot has the letters ROH seen in it.

I've literally just come out of the Independants section (I was looking to see if the new ROH on HDNet was up yet) and saw a few that didn't contain promotion names. I can't remember what they were or who had posted them, but that's not the point really.
My original thought was that including the name of the promotion, the show, the year, and (in the case of those threads for single matches) the competitors would help searches in the long run. I have no issue with using the search function, and I'm not saying I can't understand the section in any way. I just thought it may have been a helpful suggestion and made the section a little easier to traverse, considering it's size.
Adapt and evolve was the wrong choice of words, get on with it would've been better. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

I'm sorry, but I just found that hysterical. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Unless they're pretty old, I doubt you will really have a hard time knowing what company a match is from.

You could always ask in the thread, though I still don't see the problem. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
