God said it isn't him, which means it's a smod or admin who hardly even posts in the section. It is clearly better for huge transfers/managerial appointments to have their own thread rather than just being bundled in together in one thread, so people actually see the big news and reply. Why not just leave it to the people who actually post in the thread regularly?
I'm guessing its Crocker.

I quite like the merging of the threads. All the information should be in one area and it's easy and accessible.
The only transfer thread I think deserves it's own is Ronaldos. This is due to the ongoing situation with him and Madrid, which would just clog up the thread.
Also I don't think it's good to accuse memebers of the staff of doing this. At the end of the day the staff who serve here on the whole do a really good job, and they run the forum the way Danny wants it run.
As someone who usually just flicks through the section to read the articles, I have to say it is easier doing so with them in their own threads rather than merged.

So if a huge transfer goes through, you think its better than it just gets added to a thread rather than gets its own thread? Its more likely to get people's attention if they see the title "Barry signs for City". I would assume that a summer transfer thread would only be for smaller transfers.
Any HUGE news should get its own thread. That's just common sense. Its like when we had an official release thread on WS in wrestling news. It just isn't logical. Imagine Kennedy's release being posted in another thread rather than getting its own. I'd never even check it.

I'm sure Danny doesn't have an interest in UK Sport, but that's why he appoints staff members who have knowledge in the different forums we have here.
By accusing staff I meant accusing individuals. You have no proof of who did it. It could be any of them. Singling out an individual without proof just isn't cool. By all means make the point of the merging of threads with no reasons given, but it's up to DD and/or PS to bring it up with individual members of staff.

Well I'm sure I'll be told I'm wrong if its not Crocker, I just have a feeling. Maybe I shouldn't have named names without relevant knowledge but I don't see it as a big deal. Its not like I'm really having a go at them, I'm just asking them not to do it. I have no authority so I can't tell them to do anything.
And remember, I was on staff and modded that section. I kind of know that this sort of thing was never discussed.

I imagine its because people get sick of just reading copy and pasted articles over and over again with one line sentences regarding the news.
He is the boss of that section until we appoint someone (which will be soon)
