    Wrestling Career

Ohio Wrestling Alliance (2006-2008): Showtime performed under the name, Frank Showalter. Here is where he would invent his most infamous nickname, The Greatest Show on Earth. He won the OWA Rookie of the Yea Award in 2006. Then in 2007 he would capture the OWA Heavyweight Championship and the 2007 OWA Wrestler of the Year Award. During his one and only title reign, Showtime would mark down a record of 21 successful title defenses; a record that still stands in OWA. Showtime's run in the OWA would come to an end when he was defeating in a cage match, where the stipulation stated that if Showtime lost, he would never wrestle in the OWA forever.

OWW Take Down (2008-2010): After being released from the Ohio Wrestling Alliance, Showtime was signed to wrestle for OWW Take Down. Here is where he performed for the first time as Mr. Showtime. He first taste of success would be as the runner-up in a World Title tournament that took place at the Phoenix Rebirth event. Showtime would go onto shock the world at the Necessary Evils pay-per-view, when he won the Take Down World Heavyweight Championship. This would be his first World Title victory; and this would be his only World Title in Take Down, when he lost it in an Elimination Chamber match at the next pay-per-view. Showtime declined a contract extension from Take Down and no longer competes for them.

BANZAI Pro Wrestling (2010): Showtime was signed to perform at the first BANZAI Pro Wrestling event, but that folded when the company went backrupt.

True Honor Wrestling (2010): Showtime signed with THW to perform on a three show tour. He declined to do any more dealings with the company.

    Clique Wrestling Alliance (2010-Present)

Debut & Ruler of the Ring Tournament: Showtime made his debut on March 9th when he earned a victory in a triple threat match against Bob Awesome and Quincy Doobie. At the next High Voltage show on March 23rd, Showtime defeated Xela Kebert in a Ruler of the Ring Qualifying match. On the April 20th High Voltage, Showtime teamed with CJ Franchise to defeat Mr. Willis and Nero James in a preview of the RotR tournament; after that match, Franchise would lay Showtime out with a superkick. In the first round of the RotR tournament at the May 5th Adrenaline Rush, Showtime defeated Dan Powers. At the next Adrenaline Rush show on may 19th in the quarter finals, Showtime would go on to defeat Clint Sheperd. Then on the June 2nd Adrenaline Rush in the semi finals, Showtime defeated Franchise. The finals of the RotR tournament were held at the Hostile Takeover pay-per-view event on June 16th. Showtime would record his first loss when he was defeated by Mr. Willis.

CWA Draft & Submission Coalition: During the CWA draft, Showtime would go to the High Voltage brand with the 10th overall pick. On the first post-draft High Voltage on June 29th, Showtime would fight Steve Osborn and Willis in a triple threat match that ended in a no contest. Osborn and Showtime attaked Willis, then Osborn revealed that Showtime along with Rich Stone were his two members of the faction, the Submission Coalition. In their first tag team match as Coalition members, Osborn and Showtime were defeated by Willis and Roberto. Showtime's next match would take place at the Redemption pay-per-view that happened on August 11th. In a rematch of the RotR tournament, Showtime would defeat Willis. On the August 24th High Voltage, Showtime and Osborn teamed again in a losing effort against Willis and Franchise. At the next High Voltage that aired on September 7th, Showtime would team up with Kyle Crosby in a winning effort against Sheperd and El Luchadore Grande. Then on the September 21st episode of High Voltage, the entire Submission Coalition would team up, but they were defeated by Willis, Franchise, and Sheperd.

2010 Royal Rumble & Post-Sub. Co: Showtime's next match would be in the 2010 Royal Rumble at the Meltdown pay-per-view. Showtime entered at #27; in that match, Showtime would record three eliminations including the last two that gave him the victory in the Rumble. With that win, Showtime earned a World Championship match at Five Star Attraction. With the mysterious absence of Osborn, Showtime would team with Stone at the November 2nd show in a losing effort against Willis and Ralph McCoy. Then at the first cross-branded Collision Course event; Showtime, Willis, and Stone were defeated by the team of Pain and Nicholas Kennedy Arsen.

Five Star Attraction 2010: In the triple threat match for the World Title, at Five Star Attraction, Showtime defeated Stone and Willis to win his first CWA World Title.

World Heavyweight Champion (2010-2011): On his first High Voltage show as Champion on January 11th, the Ultimate Pain ruined Showtime's Championship celebration and made the announcement that Showtime would defend the World title against him at Uprising. Showtime would retaliate by invading Adrenaline Rush the very next night. At the next AR show, on January 26th, Showtime would defeat Diego Gonzalez in singles competition. Then in a match against The Elite on February 9th: Showtime, Christopher Jackson, Arsen, and Gonzalez would be defeated. Then at the Uprising pay-per-view on February 23rd, Showtime would face Pain in a match that had Arsen as guest referee. That match marked the shocking return of Joey Nicholas, which resulted in Showtime retaining the World Championship. On the March 9th edition of Adrenaline Rush, Diego Gonzalez defeated Nickolas Kennedy Arsen to become the #1 Contender for the World Championship; and would face Showtime at In Exile. After the match, Showtime attacked Diego with a steel chair. On the next Adrenaline Rush, on March 23rd, Diego and Showtime had a dicussion in the middle of the ring about the events of the other week and the future leading to their Title match. Then in an unprovoked attack, Diego laid out Showtime with the Buzzkiller. Showtime would get his revenge on the next AR, on April 6th; after quite a battle in a six man tag match, Showtime laid out Diego with a Mr. Showtime Presents, Osaka Stunner. At In Exile, from Shanghai, China, Showtime succesffuly defended his World Championship against Gonzalez, when he beat him with a Box Office Plunge for the three count. On the May 3rd edition of High Voltage, it was revealed that Showtime will be defending his Title against a familiar foe, Mr. Willis. Showtime's World Title reign came to an end at Hostile Takeover when he was defeated by Mr. Willis.

Post World Title Reign: Mr. Showtime was set to get on the comback trail when he faced the Unstoppable Newman in his first match after losing the World Championship, on the June 28th Edition of High Voltage, but due to a distraction by the new Champ, Newman was able to pick up the huge upset over the former Champion. After the loss, Showtime would no-show the July 12th event, which was highly speculated amoungst fans and member of the CWA locker room. But Showtime would return to High Voltage at the July 26th event ready to compete in the six man tag main event; Showtime would team with Snake Eyes to take on Mr. Willis, Jackson Sonik, and Axl Storm. Showtime and Snake Eyes picked up the win when Enzo pinned Storm. Then at the Vendetta pay-per-view, the first event for Pride N Honor Wrestling, Mr. Showtime would get his rematch against the World Champion, Mr. Willis. And in a triumphant performance, Mr. Showtime defeated Willis with a Box Office Plunge.

2nd World Title Reign: In his first Title defense after winning it back at Vendetta, Showtime would take on familiar foe, Clint Shepard; Shepard won his Title shot when he won a battle royal at Vendetta. But in miraculous fashion, Showtime was able to retain his Championship against Shepard, his next opponent awaiting a title shot was Novakain. On the October 11th edition of HV, after a no touch rule was implemented by Orlando Maxwell, Mr. Showtime was placed in a singles match against Cyrus Truth, with Novakain as the special referee; and in a shocking display, Nova made a fast count that resulted in a Cyrus Truth victory! And with that victory, Truth was given a World Title match for the October 28th edition of High Voltage! After successfully retaining his Championship against Truth, the next endeavor for Showtime was a handicap match against his next challenger Novakain, and the World Tag Team Champions Sunshine Stae's Finest! Showtime got beaten down pretty good at the hands of his opponents, which lead to the question: Does he have enough left? Then at Pride, the first PNH pay-per-view, Showtime went one-on-one with Novakain; and after going through so much leading into the match, Showtime retained his Title once again when he defeated Novakain with a Box Office Plunge. At the next pay-per-view, No Remorse, Showtime would defend his World Championship in a triple threat match against Novakain and Surge. Surge defeated Showtime to become the new Champion.

Post 2nd Title Reign: After losing the World Title at No Remorse, Showtime would go one-on-one with Novakain on the next episode of High Voltage; a match that Showtime would be defeated after a Novakain Superkick. After that, Showtime fell off the radar, until he showed up not at a PNH show, but a CWA pay-per-view! At Uprising, after winning the World Title, the Ultimate Pain was attacked by Showtime and nobody knows why. Then on the March 3rd edition of High Voltage, Showtime came out to explain himself. The purpose of the attack was to help defend Pride N Honor Wrestling, something that Showtime felt Orlando Maxwell was NOT doing.

I love the variations of cross-arm maneuvers. An old school feel with pizzaz is always nice.

    Re: Mr. Showtime

Let's take a look down Memory Lane: Here is the debut of Mr. Showtime. The greatest debut that has ever been seen in CWA's history. If you don't believe me, ask me what I just said and I'll tell you again.

And to begin the show I’ll be heading up to the ring to conduct the interview for the first CWA television of Mr. Showtime. A lot people are excited about the hiring of this young man, but from speaking to a lot of the wrestlers in the locker room, they’re not so optimistic.

Jack begins to walk around the ring, and then up the steel steps.

Jack Adams: So without further delay….

Jack begins to walk along the apron when the lights go out! Some screams can be heard in the crowd as the flashbulbs of fans’ cameras provide a little light.

Jack Adams: It appears we’re having some technical-

Suddenly the big screen fades from black to what appears to be a red velvet curtain. Then some text begins to show up in the middle.

    "He’s Coming."

He’s Coming slowly fades away. Then some more text appears.

    "He’s Here."

He’s Here slowly fades away. Then more text appears.

    "Curtain Up."

Then finally when Curtain Up slowly fades away, the red velvet curtain begins to pull away to reveal a video of an orchestra playing Ride of the Valkyrie’s.

Jack Adams remains on the apron confused as he’s watching the video. Then lights near the entrance begin to come on, and then a lone figure walks out, it’s Mr. Showtime. As he makes his way down the aisle he walks near the security rail to the fans. He reaches behind his ear and pulls out a Sharpie. He reaches out into the crowd and takes a neon green sign from a young fan. He reads it to himself, and then turns it to the camera; it says, ‘Awesome Bomb.’ Showtime shakes his head in disappointment; he takes off the cap of the Sharpie, and then begins to sign his autograph. He shows the back of the neon green poster board now with his autograph to the camera, and then hands it back to the young fan. The young fan looks angry as he throws his sign to the floor. Showtime shakes his head in disappointment again, and then heads to the ring. He walks up the steps, and then steps through the ropes. As he approaches Jack Adams he puts his Sharpie behind his ear. Showtime reaches out and takes the microphone from Adams, and then motions with his hand to cut the music.

Showtime: I don’t need an interview because I know what the people want to hear.

Showtime turns his back on Adams and walks away from him. He stops around the centre of the ring. He looks over to see Adams still confused and on the apron.

    Showtime: You’re still here, why?

Adams drops from the apron, walks over to the announce position, and then puts on his headset
    .
    Showtime: Thanks.

Showtime looks away from Jack’s direction and looks around at the fans.

Jack Adams: You’re welcome I guess. So….Mr. Showtime is flying solo for this.

Showtime: I thought I would come out here and introduce myself to you. If you haven’t heard of me, then you must have been living under a rock; and for that I feel sorry for you. You see I’m Mr. Showtime: a talented pro wrestler and actor. I am the newest addition to the CWA cast. Now I know I’m the new guy around here, but I’m not new to this business. I know what it takes to win and I know what it takes to get to the top. It takes: Beating peoples’ heads in, not listening to the critics, and not listening to you people.

Showtime points out to the fans, and then makes a circle to point out every fan in the arena. The fans respond with an array of boos.

Jack Adams: Looks like he doesn’t intend to make any friends around here.

Showtime finishes his full circle, and then he points down to the canvas.

Showtime: You see on this stage, I make people famous….I make them famous by letting them be another win under my belt. And in my first match I don’t just get the opportunity to beat one chump….I have to beat two chumps.

Jack Adams: And one of his opponents is Bob Awesome and he was represented by the sign Mr. Showtime took and signed for that fan. And that young boy didn’t like that at all.

Showtime puts one hand in his pocket, and then begins to slowly walk around the ring.

Showtime: So now I have to give these two chumps their 15 minutes of fame with The Greatest Show on Earth. Unfortunately for them, it’s not even going to last that long. Tonight….Live, in colour, and in high def; uncut and with no commercial interruptions, you will see a showcase of greatness by me. You’ll see why I’m not the Show Stopper, but that I’m Show Maker. You’ll see that they need to take down the HOLLYWOOD sign and change it to SHOWTIME. You don’t know me, but soon you will because March is Mr. Showtime Awareness month in CWA. You will know me whether you like me or not.

Showtime stops walking and stands near the ropes as the fans begin a ‘You Suck’ chant. Showtime lowers the microphone and chuckles to himself as he looks around at the fans.

Jack Adams: The fans begin to show their displeasure at meeting Mr. Showtime for the first time. He comes off as arrogant and self-absorbed to me. Being this is the first time I’m seeing him.

Showtime walks to the centre of the ring, and then holds the microphone back to his mouth.

Showtime: Now when I’m not on this stage, I’m on the other stage where I make movies. Now I’ve received a lot of criticism from my peers and the fans for this other life I lead outside of wrestling. They put me down because they think I’m not committed to the sport, and so I receive a lot of unfair reviews; and yet that I hasn’t stop me from winning. So if anything I want to thank these people because if it wasn’t for their doubts and criticisms….I wouldn’t be as high on life as I am right now. So judging by the reception I’m getting from you people….I’m going to get a personal enjoyment in proving you wrong as well.

Jack Adams: Ok I was wrong…he REALLY doesn’t want to make any friends around here.

Showtime: So don’t let this first impression shape your opinion. Because there’s this side of me because there’s a different side to me when I’m in this ring competing. When I’m wrestling there lies an intense competitor that when you meet him…you’ll never wish you doubted or underrated my abilities. So that’s about all I needed to come out here and say-

The crowd begins to applaud and cheer after hearing that. Showtime looks out at the fans with an angry look on his face.

Jack Adams: Oh man; Mr. Showtime doesn’t like this reaction from the fans.

Showtime: You’re all hilarious, but in just a few minutes, when you get the pleasure of watching me in the ring for the first time…I’ll be the one who’s laughing. Until then you remember this…It ain’t yo business, it’s Show Business.

Showtime puts the microphone down and Doin Your Mom begins to play as Quincy Doobie makes his entrance.

Jack Adams: And there he is ladies and gentlemen; the newest member of the CWA roster, Mr. Showtime. He certainly knows how to build himself up, but we'll see if he can back it up.

    vs. vs.

After the bell rings, Showtime doesn't waste seconds before running a dropkick into the knee of Awesome, causing him to lose his balance. Quincy Doobie takes the opportunity to catch Bob with a reverse DDT. But when Doobie starts to get up, Showtime is waiting for him with a dragon sleeper. Doobie reaches for the ropes but they're too far. Showtime leans back and applies even more pressure. Quincy's tiring himself out fighting it. He seems to be slipping away. The referee holds Quincy Doobie's hand up once... and it falls.

The referee grabs Doobie by the wrist again and Showtime cranks the dragon sleeper harder. Bob Awesome comes running in with a big boot into Showtime's chest, knocking him off Doobie. Doobie falls to the mat and is followed closely by Awesome who delivers a pinning splash. 1...2... Showtime breaks the pin with a dropkick to Awesome's head.

Showtime is still clutching his chest from the big boot but manages to cover Doobie. 1...2... Doobie kicks out before the 3. Showtime sees Awesome getting to his feet and hurries over to prevent this. He runs past Bob Awesome and then leaps onto the turnbuckle, turned to face Awesome. Showtime jumps off and hits a diving European uppercut, bringing both of them to the floor.

As Showtime starts getting up, Quincy Doobie attempts a bridging wrist lock electric chair drop, but Showtime counters with a victory roll. 1...2... Quincy Doobie breaks out and rolls from Showtime... right into Bob Awesome who boots him in the gut. Doobie rolls toward the corner while Awesome and Showtime clash in the centre. Awesome punches Showtime and then sends him into the turnbuckle with an Irish whip. He runs at Showtime and goes for a big splash but Showtime slips away at the last second. Awesome eats buckle and staggers backward.

Showtime nails Awesome with his cross-arm Primetime Leg Sweep. Mr. Showtime gets up into a torture rack from Quincy Doobie, but begins to work his way free of Doobie's grasp before any pressure can be applied. Quincy regains control for a moment and does a torture rack power bomb. The impact is large and loud, the crowd responding with "ooh!" Showtime rolls out of the ring in pain.

Awesome gets up while Doobie stalks his prey. When Awesome turns to face him, Doobie comes flying at Awesome with his Bun Down Di System lariat. Awesome ducks it and then gives Doobie a clothesline sending him over the top rope. Quincy comes crashing down next to Mr. Showtime. Showtime grabs Quincy and starts to lift him up until he sees Bob Awesome running across the ring. Awesome goes for a suicide dive but both Showtime and Doobie jump out of harm's way. Bob Awesome writhes in pain on the outside of the ring while Doobie and Showtime roll into the ring at the same time.

A fighting "Let's Go Doobie / Smoke Him Showtime" chant starts up as the two square off. Doobie fakes a punch and makes Showtime flinch. Doobie laughs for a second before kicking at Showtime's gut. Mr. Showtime blocks, grabbing Quincy's leg and tripping him to the mat. Showtime wastes little time applying a Texas cloverleaf. Quincy reaches for the ropes but they're just out of reach. He manages to put one elbow in front of the other and pull Showtime a step or two, but it's not enough. Meanwhile, Awesome has rolled into the ring and is coming at Showtime with another, nasty big boot.

Showtime ducks underneath it and lets go of Doobie's legs. Awesome's momentum carries him into the ropes and when he returns Showtime is hunched over, waiting to deliver a back body drop. Awesome stops himself short and counters with a kick, but Showtime catches his leg and wastes little time giving Awesome a stiff step-up enziguri.

Awesome falls to his knees, cradling his head. Doobie gets to his feet and charges for Showtime. Showtime succeeds with a back body drop this time and Quincy Doobie goes over the ropes, landing shoulder-first on the apron and falling to the floor. Showtime turns around to see Awesome charging at him to clothesline him over the top rope. Showtime ducks under the clothesline at the last second and Awesome runs straight into the ropes. Showtime uses his momentum and when Awesome bounces back Showtime hits him with the Box Office Plunge. Awesome crumples like a lifeless mess and Showtime mercilessly yanks his leg for a pin. 1...2...3!

Lindsay Monahan: Ladies and Gentlemen, your winner in 12 minutes and 45 seconds, Mr. Showtime!

Mr. Showtime gets back to his feet and appears to be dusting himself down before stepping over his fallen opponent and leaving the ring with both arms raised in victory.

    Re: Mr. Showtime

Let's take another look down Memory Lane: Here is how I became qualified to participate in the Ruler of the Ring Tournament. And you can pretty much call me the man to WIN this thing.

They brawled back to the entrance ramp where Showtime suplexed Xlea resulting in a loud thud. Showtime continued to beat down Xlea before whipping him into the railing. They returned to the ring. Showtime bit Xlea on the face and regretted it as he used Johnny Yamaguchi’s shirt to clean his tongue afterwards. Upset that his shortcut didn’t work out as planned Showtime began kicking away at Xlea‘s head. Showtime hit a running elbow and then a kick in the corner. Showtime locked on a chin lock to try and wear Xlea down. Xlea fought his way back but Showtime began drilling him with chops, punches and head butts. Showtime punts Xlea in the temple before hoisting him up onto his shoulders for the Box Office Plunge. Showtime asks the referee for the match time and seemingly doesn’t like the answer. Showtime leaves the ring and takes the timekeepers watch and brings it back into the ring with him. Showtime puts the watch down in the corner before picking Xlea back up. Showtime hit’s a stiff European Uppercut before drilling Xlea with a Shotgun Stunner. Showtime again checks the watch before asking if it’s running slow as he appears to be aiming for a win on exactly fifteen minutes. Showtime stands looking at the watch as the fans try to get Xlea back to his feet. Showtime mockingly joins in on the chants before hitting a second Box Office Plunge and turning Xlea over but still doesn’t make the pin. Showtime looks at the watch and counts down the seconds before covering Xlea and picking up the three count.

Lindsay Monahan: Ladies and Gentlemen, your winner at 15 minutes and 0 seconds is Mr. Showtime!

Mr. Showtime seems thrilled with his timing as he climbs the turnbuckles to celebrate advancing to the tournament proper.

Jim Taylor: He’s my pick! I picked him before he even came to CWA!

Jack Adams: Of course you did. I bet if Xlea had won you would have picked him before he came as well?

Jim Taylor: That would never happen.

Jack Adams: I beg to differ but we’ll leave it there. Be sure to tune in to Adrenaline Rush tomorrow night on the Wrestling Clique network where we will find out the third man to qualify for the Ruler of the Ring tournament…

    Jim Taylor: Frankie Enzo.

Jack Adams: …or Nero James. The two will be meeting for the first time ever plus Minimal Pain gets a chance at revenge against Joey Nicholas whom we heard from earlier tonight.

Jim Taylor: More like a chance to get his neck broken.

Jack Adams: Alexis promises a huge surprise.

    Jim Taylor:

Jack Adams: Nothing cleaver to say about that?

Jim Taylor: I think you are confusing me with someone else. I show nothing but respect to the great men and women of CWA.

Jack Adams: Provided you’re friends with them?

Jim Taylor: Well that certainly helps.

Jack Adams: And in the main event tomorrow night it will be Jackson Sonik and Deportista…

Jim Taylor: The team who are going to do the right thing and hand over the title belts to the Future.

Jack Adams: …collectively known as A Mouthful of Awesome taking on the Submission Coalition of Nickolas Kennedy Arsen and Steve Osborn. Who will be standing tall at the end of the night?

    Jim Taylor: Sub Co!

Jack Adams: Tune in tomorrow night to find out the answers and then be sure to tune in to High Voltage next week to find out who killed Jim Taylor.

    Jim Taylor: Yeah, wait, what?

    Jack Adams: Goodbye for now!
