Andy Murray makes next round
British Number 1 Andy Murray reached round 2 of the Australian Open as he goes on search of his first grand slam championship. Murray's opponent Pavel had to retire through back injury in the second set of the match. One match down five to go for the scot.

I'm hoping he can go all the way in this but I cannot see past Federer or Nadal to take the title home.

Thoughts?

Probably. I really hope so anyway. Murray is too much of a twat to deserve a Grand Slam.

Off topic: Nadal and Federer in the Wimbledon Final = best tennis match ever. I even bought the DVD.

Yeah was a bit epic to be honest, the last two wimbledon finals between the two have been sensational that was the moment Nadal finally could say he was better than the great Roger Federer amazing moment in Tennis. I hope Murray does win it cos although he may be a moaning git at times he still our only hope as a nation for a major tennis title. It's nice to be seen as good at something for a change lol

Murray's got a great chance to win the Australian Open, going into the tournament as favourite might put too much pressure on him though I guess.

If he beats Nadal in the semi's, he can beat Federer in the final, presuming they all make it that far anyways.
