As you will no doubt by now be aware Sheffield United today won a compensation claim against West Ham United. This case was based on the claim that if Tevez had not played for West Ham in the 06/07 season, West Ham would have gained 3 points less.
Following on from the success of this, many more compensation claims are expected. When questioned, Plc Chairman Kevin McCabe stepped down from his soap box for long enough to give the following statement :
"Due to todays success, we intend to pursue our claims. Norwich City are our next targets. If they had not sold Rob Green to West Ham, we would not find ourselves in this predicament. I've seen Roy Carrol play and there's not a cat in hells chance he'd have kept clean sheets against Man United and Arsenal, or made any one of the numerous save's Green made. Its a disgrace. If it wasn't for Norwich City we'd be in the Prem!"
Mr McCabe wouldn't confirm reports that his lawyers are trying to track down a Mr and Mrs Noble of east london.
"I'm not prepared to discuss any individuals, but it is quite clear that had they not conspired together to enable the conception of Mark Noble, there is no doubt West Ham's midfield would have included Nigel Quashie, and he would have never provided enough drive to spur on the other players"
