Liverpool v Manchester United - KO 12.45 - September 13th 2008
The first massive game of the season & its one that Liverpool fans wont be looking forward to after seeing the recent results between the two sides. Seven of the past Eight League Meetings between the two have ended in victory for Manchester United. Liverpool don't even get the consolation of a victory as the eight match ended 0-0. You have to go to the back end of the 2003/2004 season for the last time Liverpool won a league match between the two title contenders.
Injuries are not helping Liverpool's chances either & several Liverpool fans i know have already said congratulations to Man United fans for winning, four days before the match! With Gerrard almost certainly out & Torres not looking much better, Liverpool suddenly look a very average side. Man United, despite missing Ronaldo have still struggled on.
On a weekend where Manchester City look to establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with against Chelsea neither team can afford a slip up here. Arsenal can sneak into the lead as they take on an in transition Blackburn Rovers side while their is still grass on their pitch.
Someone is dropping points this weekend but who?

If they have no Gerrard & Torres it'll be double tough for them.
I guess they play coy like they do in Europe on this one and keep it tight. Without Ronaldo Man U don't look like they have goals in them so far this season. Berba may debut I guess, that might help !
Wonder whether Mascherano will be able to keep his mouth shut this time?
Re: Liverpool v Manchester United - KO 12.45 - September 13th 2008
We dominated the whole game. To say that we got lucky for the own goal...well we deserved that luck. ManU played well in the first 10 minutes or so but they slowly crumbled when Kuyt and Keane started to be dangerous to the United side.
The second goal was really worked out well by Macherano. Really good work from him. And Babel, super-sub is the perfect adjective to describe him. We dominated the game and we deserved the win. Just goes to see how much of a quality team we are...even without Gerrard or Torres. Not being arrogant but this is the first time to say something about us beating United for the first time in the Leauge since 2004.
Gawd! The win felt soo good. Hope Liverpool can contonue and can finally become a threat to the top of the table. Hope we don't crumble in the middle part just like last season.

We was by far the greater side on the day, we played a lot more fluently,we made unite look like school boys.
Good result.

And when there is no hope,

When theres no enemies,
"I sit and stare at my T.V.
and in my ignorance,
I'll be a slave and sycophant!"

Its odd, its only September but United's next game is now a must win game. Liverpool are usually out by Christmas, this season United could be all but officially out before October! Chelsea are already six points ahead, if they beat United it will be Nine at a very early stage. Granted United have a game in hand but Liverpool & Arsenal are keeping pace with chelsea. Going to be very tough to come back if they do lose.
