I believe the UEFA rankings are based on the past five seasons in UEFA comnpetitions, where Roma and Bayern Munich haven't faired too well
That is correct. Also Bayern didn't even qualify for the Champions League last season.
I'm pretty happy with Uniteds group. The Celtic game at Parkhead is the only one which might cause a problem. The atmosphere up there will be electric, and they'll be very much up for it.
Chelsea couldn't have had an easier group if they picked it themselves. They should stroll that one.
Liverpool might have a tricky time, especially away from home. There'll be no expansive games there... So I think I'll give their games a miss when they come on TV. It'll be the usual defend until the end with them.
Arsenal shouldn't have too much to worry about. I can see them topping their group easily. As long as they turn up and play. I'm sure the trips to Turkey and Ukraine won't be too challenging for them.
Last five seasons at least. Werent Bayern in the UEFA Cup last year?

The follow up league fixtures are what i was most worried about when i seen Turkey & Ukraine. But we play Fenerbache at home on Wednesday then United at home on Saturday (Our only home game following a CL Fixture To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. ) then we play Kiev at home on Tuesday before Chelsea away on Sunday. They could have been awful fixtures had they been the away legs.
Also glad we hae the away leg with Kiev in September, much better than going to Ukraine in the middle of Winter.
Group H looks like a Death Group on Paper, Real, Juve & Zenit. Poor Bate may as well not even show up. No suprises either that Panathinaikos & Anorthosis got drawn in the same group.
