Personally, I'd prefer Rio got it.
However, Terry is apparently not 100% likely to go to Trinidad & Tobago and he said he'd give all the main candidates one game before he chose his permanent captain.
Rio and Gerrard have both had a go, now it's Terry's turn.
Will there be a 4th candidate to look at in T&T. If so, who? Barry? Lampard? Rooney?!
Terry is definitely not three times the player Rio Ferdinand is, as a leader maybe, but Rio has had a far more impressive season than JT in my opinion.
As for a fourth candidate I can't really see one, presuming Gary Neville never makes it back into the England team at least.

I'm not sure Gary Neville will ever play sustained football again to be honest. United are doing the same with him as they did with Ole, flogging a dead horse who'll keep getting injured
