Ricky Hatton Returning To Boxing in 2010!
Ricky Hatton has confirmed that he will return to the ring this year, though it is not yet known who his opponent will be

The Mancunian announced on his official website that he would be having at least one more fight at light-welterweight, most likely in the summer months.

Hatton last stepped between the ropes in May of last year, when he was knockec out inside two rounds by Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand.

However, having had time to recharge his batteries, the Hitman has decided to have at least one more bout before he hangs up his gloves for good.

The only fight I’d be interested in is one against Amir Khan. As a boxer, he reached his limit when he fought Mayweather and Pacquiao. He’s not an elite fighter, and won’t reach that level now.

I can see why he’s coming back though. He wants to make a real go of his Promotion Business, and there’s no harm in taking a few fights and investing the money from those fights back into his promotion. People will pay to watch him box, especially one more ‘homecoming’ fight in Manchester, so he may as well use it to his benefit.

And besides, he’s not going to make much money on the after dinner circuit is he?!

There's actually a chance of Hatton/Khan happening now that Khan's signed a deal with De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions.

Prior to that it was never going to happen because of Frank Warren's problems with Hatton.

Would quite like to see that fight myself. Khan would probably further embarrass Hatton though.
