Would you take Beckham to the World Cup?

Tough question, Beckham is getting on now, he's peaked. I've always questioned Beckhams real amount of talent due to the fact he's pretty much a winger without pace.

Would you take him if you were Capello?

Yes, without a doubt.

His experience will be VITAL, and he can still change a game from coming off the bench.

Re: Would you take Beckham to the World Cup?

Problem with Beckham is that he is very hit & miss. At times he plays extremely well & then at times its like why is he in the squad again? If he stays on good form i don't see why not. He's got tons of experience & can still play pretty well.

Re: Would you take Beckham to the World Cup?

No, I'd take somebody who could give it their all for 90 to 120 minutes whilst actually producing something.

I'm sure David Bentely could take set pieces that nobody seems get's on the end of anymore. All whilst being marginally faster with more stamina. So what if he's shit.

Re: Would you take Beckham to the World Cup?

Without a doubt tbh.

Beckham is getting on a bit but he still puts his everything into everything game until he has nothing left to give because that is how he has always been. As for David Bentley taking set pieces, are you mental? Beckham is far superior at taking everything, I mean that would be one reason by itself to have him in the team.

I don't know about mental, but certainly sarcastic.

Re: Would you take Beckham to the World Cup?

One factor for me is the fact Beckhams not playing real football right now.

MLS is simply a mickie mouse league.

If he was still playing regularly at Man United or Real Madrid I'd say without a doubt.

Re: Would you take Beckham to the World Cup?

...and you've heard nothing of him going back to AC in January?

AC Milan claim it is "very probable" that David Beckham will rejoin the Italian side on loan from Los Angeles Galaxy in the January transfer window.

The England midfielder had a successful loan spell at Milan last season during the Major League Soccer off-season.

Milan vice president Adriano Galliani said: "It's very probable that Beckham will come on loan until 30 June."

Galaxy said last week they knew a move would improve the 34-year-old's chances of playing in next summer's World Cup.

"We appreciate what he's doing here with England," Tim Leiweke, chief of Galaxy's owners AEG, said in London.

"We want to get a deal done for him and for us."

The midfielder, who joined Milan on an initial three-month deal in January that was extended to the end of the season, revealed last week that a deal was close to being finalised.

If he plays regularly, that'll change everything.

Re: Would you take Beckham to the World Cup?

He did when he was there last and scored regularly in addition.
