Yep, the age old question of who will succeed Sir. Alex Ferguson when he finally decides to retire or dies, one of the two. I don't mean that in a nasty way, I honestly would not rule out him dying before he retires from his post. He has the same attitude as Sir. Bobby had when he said that the only way he was leaving his Newcastle post would be if he was died or if he was sacked and I think we can safely say that Sir. Alex wont be receiving the boot anytime soon.
However it happens though, it's going to sooner or later and this is just a simple discussion of who you think could, should or if you're confident, will succeed Fergie as United manager.
Go.

He has expressed interest in the position many times, and repeatedly stated that he wants to return to England at some stage. Ferguson has said he would like to see Mourinho as his successor. He clearly has the ability. Seems by far the most likely.

If you think he will be or if you just want him to be, why you want him over other option such as David Moyes who would be another British manager instead of a foreign manager maybe?
Just a little more detail that a picture.

If they don't want to go down the foreign route (I see no reason why they wouldn't), then I think it'll either be Martin O'Neill or David Moyes who gets the post. Both managers probably the best Britain has to offer at the moment, both done excellent jobs at Top 10 Premier League clubs. Martin has European experience from his time at Celtic. Both charismatic and would jump at the chance I'm sure.
But in all likely hood I think it will be Mourinho, just trying to give some options.

I want him because he's a great manager and its been proven that he can manage top teams. Sure he's never managed as big a club as United, but you'd have to say he would handle the pressure well. Plus his charisma makes him likeable if he's managing your club.
Moyes has done well but I'm not convinced he could take over a team like United and do well. He's used to working with low expectations and not a huge amount of money to throw around.

I think it's safe to say there will be a huge amount of pressure on Ferguson's successor (understandably) whenever it happens and Mourinho seems like the only manager that could cope with it and succeed, certainly at this point in time. He's the only guy I would even consider to be honest.

Well when Everton came 4th he never really made that big a deal about it he said something along the lines of, I grew up at Celtic were if you didn't win the league you were a loser so I can't really celebrate 4th place. At least you know with statements like that, that the mentality is there for him to go to the very top and probably why he is so successful with a reasonably small squad.
