England look like they are going to be contenders next year. Since getting Capello, they have been outstanding. Capello by right should have been Italy's coach...

Ugh, Northern Ireland ftl tonight. Poor performance. Don't think the right team was picked from the get go and just far too many average players starting. Ah well, well used to it by now.
As for England possibly lifting the World Cup, I'd actually like to see it happen, as much as commentators and just generally annoying English idiots would never let it be forgotten. As for if I think it'll happen, I'll believe it when I see it.
Every year England go in as a big team who are going to do so well, and always end up crashing out far too early. They've looked very strong so far, but the actual World Cup is a different animal to qualifiers.

Yeah I don't think any England fans are taking it for granted that we'll get far in the World Cup, and I don't think many believe that because we have stormed the qualifiers, we'll storm the tournament. That said, the manner of our qualification and the way we've been playing in general under Capello gives us great confidence for the tournament. We've often failed due to poor tactics, but with a capable manager we have a better chance than usual, and that's without factoring in the quality of the squad compared to even 2006.
