View Poll Results: Could Spurs make the top 4 this season?
Yes, they've started brilliantly and have a great squad
We are 3 games into the season (for some clubs) and Spurs still have a 100% record, including impressive wins over title challengers Liverpool at home, and West Ham away, sandwiching a 5-1 thrashing of Hull. Their team looks very balanced, players like Modric and Palacios have done brilliantly, and Jermaine Defoe has been on fire, scoring 4 goals so far and topping the scoring charts.
While all the talk has been of Manchester City breaking the dominance of the big 4 this season, my question is, could Spurs be the ones to take a Champions League spot away from one of the usual suspects (Arsenal, lets face it) this season?

lol no. They will be brought crashing back down soon enough. Liverpool were woeful and wasteful, while beating Hull and West Ham arent exactly achievments.

They should be pushing for a top 6 finish, as their squad is actually very strong, whilst they have a lot of quality in their first team as well. Plus they've done this all with a few injuries so they could get even better. They need a better goalkeeper first and foremost if you ask me.
Either way, it is too early to realistically say, but I'd be very, very surprised if they broke the top 4. Would surprise me if City do it as well.
Of course at the moment, Defoe's hot streak is helping them.

What everyone else said - way too soon to call and a good start really means nothing. I'll be surprised if they are in the top 6 at the end of the season.

Because the start of the season is clearly loads to go on from a United fans perspective.
You had a disasterous start last year and still won the title, this in comparison would be asking if United wouldn't make thd top 4.
From a United fan's perspective? We're the team who always starts poorly and recovers. If any fan would know that you can't judge on the opening few weeks, it's a United fan. But ok, use this thread for another silly cheapshot, it's fine.
I'm not saying they will, I'm asking if they could. Hell, this thread could have been posted before the season began. It's just that they've made a good start and that reinforces the belief that they could really push on this season.
I never said they would...
