It looks like Real is building a Super Team. They've just purchased Benzema and with Kaka and Ronaldo joining the team a couple of weeks ago, they look like unstoppable this year.
This is what the team looks like right now:
4-3-1-2
GK: Casillas
RB: Sergio Ramos
CB: Pepe
CB: Albiol (NEW)
LB: Heinze
LM: Robben
CM: Diarra
RM: Ronaldo (NEW)
AM: Kaka (NEW)
ST: Raul
ST: Benzema (NEW)
This already looks like a great team, but I doubt they are done with their shopping.
They also have Huntelaar, Van Nistelroy, Gago, Van Der Vaart, Sneijder, Guti, Metzelder, Higuain sitting on the bench. These guys would form a great team already.
Well, it looks like they are going to dominate Europe next year or are they. It's been proven before, that too many superstars on one team is no good. Either way tho, it's going to be an exciting season for Madrid fans.
As I have said, I think it is almost guaranteed that it will take them a while to get going with all of the new players, but I think they will start to gel after about 10 games, then they become unstoppable from that point. I understand the hate coming from United fans, but I personally see no problem with it, they have money and are allowed to spend it so more power to them. There is still a chance that they will also sign Ribery to add to the squad.
On a side note though Sawyer, I mean this in the nicest way, could you lay off so many polls?
Im excited to see how this team comes together. Either they will be an amazing super team which will be fun to watch, or it will be hilariously disastorous. Either way Ill be happily entertained, lol.
Like Dmac said, it's going to take them time to gel, if they ever even do, due to so much squad rotation undoubtedly happening. Thus I really can't see them getting instant results which will almost certainly be expected. They'll lose faith in their manager(s), as always, and therefore the club will never have any stability, just like the Madrid of old.
I can see still see them winning some trophies, I've no idea what, or how many, maybe they'll even win a CL or whatever, like the old Madrid did. For the money they've spent though, it's going to be hard to not consider them a failure of some degree. A team worth that much money on paper, should dominate everything, and I can't see them doing that at all.

Thats the best part. As if United fans can complain about other teams buying the best players on offer for huge amounts of money

The situations are ridiculously different. When have United ever signed the biggest names in world football really? I mean come on, the top 4 biggest transfers in history have been to Real Madrid. I understand that you're biased but it is easy to see the difference.
As for the question, Barcelona are still better on paper. I can't see Real winning the league.
I can't see the fans or the president, accepting just the league anyways.
Managers have won the league at Madrid before and been sacked before the next season. They're just an idiotic club really.
Exactly, which is why I call them a joke club, and time after time Dmac refuses to accept it is anything other than bitterness. Funny seeing as we've been more successful than them the past few years.
Yes it is annoying seeing them get Benzema but I'd rather be a United fan than a Madrid fan. How many managers have they gone through in the 21st century? 10?
I just think Iniesta is better than Kaka and Messi is better than Ronaldo. Eto'o is better than Benzema currently too. Just a better team in general. Better individuals AND they work together perfectly.
