In my opinion every soccer player has dived or faked an injury during a game one time or another. Tommy thinks Im wrong and actually he thinks only a few do it. I told him to name me one guy who didnt and this is his response:

This is soccer to me Tommy, and this happens 20 times a game.
You completely ignored my point that even if players dive, its still a very physical game and they take a lot of physical abuse. Ronaldo dives at times but he is also the victim of a lot of strong and sometimes dangerous challenges, so whether players dive or not, to say it isn't as tough a sport as basketball is ridiculous. Diving and playacting is more a tactical thing than a lack of toughness. To use the example of Ronaldo again, he doesn't lack toughness or bravery as he shows in games with his determination, his willingness to go in where it hurts for headers and his ability to take tough tackles and get up from them.
But... I will say once again that its ridiculous to say every player dives. Sure, a lot do, but it doesn't stop football from being a physically intense game.
You never got my point I guess. Football/Soccer is a tough sport, but the players act like girls. Its like watching MMA and having Chuck Lidell crying after he gets a shot. Americans wanna see players act like men, not like a bunch of girls.
I love when a hockey player goes to the bench after he gets cut by a stick and gets stiched up right there on the spot and then goes back in the game.
I love how a nfl player gets speared and he gets up limping, but gets up on his own without the help of a stretcher or the magic spray potion.
This was why I said that soccer will never succeed in America.
Well players still get up after tough tackles. Like I said, its a tactical thing rather than being a pussy. If you are under pressure its easier to go down and try to get a freekick.
Some players will always be very tough and will get up on their own after hard tackles.
Its like watching MMA and having Chuck Lidell crying after he gets a shot.
No it's not. How is a punch in the face similar to a a tackle and a fake dive?

You've got an American team from any sport, and English team from any sport. They both win medals or awards. Which team would have the most members crying?

Happens in Football, and they don't wear helmets.

That's cool. It's cracked the rest of the world anyway.
All these comparisons are really bad, comparing to football to MMA? Really?
The thing is, football used to be a fucking man's game. Theres all sorts of stories and footage of guys getting legit fucked up on the pitch and carrying on playing. It's just that these days players have found they can get away with faking and shit.
I don't really have a point apart from blame the players, not the game.

Say what?

Please, dont compare soccer players with hockey players. Hockey players play with broken bones, concussions and all of them have lost their teeth.

Its fine, I know that, but it will never crack North America because soccer players act like girls...and that has been my point all along.

I agree with you, they have to start punishing the fakers and divers.
They should definitely be more severe on divers. Honestly, I have no problem if you get touched on the ankle and fall to the ground to try and draw a foul, but flying back because someone moves their head towards you, trying to draw a headbutt is fucking ridiculous. I would banish the player from the league, that's how fucking ridiculous it is. Diving and/or trying to get around the rules happens in EVERY sport, even the "tough" ones like American Football and Hockey. Soccer and those other sports you mentioned (especially MMA) are completely different. See past the diving and it's an awesome, beautiful sport.
As for staying on the ground in stead of kipping up and getting right back into the action, soccer demands a lot of physical exertion and I can't blame them if they stay down for a minute so they can get some energy back into them. It happens in basketball. Fuck, I've done it myself playing basketball before.
