With the transfer season well underway and big moves starting to happen, I thought it would be fun to look back on some of the most bitter transfers which have ever taken place. I can't think of too many so maybe some of you can suggest some.
Luis Figo, Barcelona to Real Madrid.

nuff said.
Others I can think of:
Ashley Cole, Arsenal to Chelsea
Rio Ferdinand, Leeds to Man Utd
Wayne Rooney, Everton to Man Utd (their fans were furious at the time)

Wayne Routledge from Cardiff to QPR last season was pretty bitter. Although he wasn't actually a Cardiff City player (he was on loan from Villa), he'd said he'd love to stay at Cardiff, but then he signed with QPR because they offered him much more money.
I was there when he returned with QPR, and all the fans sang the Nelly song "Heeeey, must be the money!" The stadium announcer even dedicated the song to him pre match. The amount of abuse he got was funny. And to top it all off he had an absolute stinker of a game! ha ha
Maurice Johnson moving to Rangers was the worst I reckon, played for Celtic before moving to Nantes, first catholic to sign for Rangers and he rejected a return to Celtic to go to Rangers. Big players moving between the two clubs then was unheard of and still is a dangerous thing to do.
Rangers fans thought it was a betrayal of the clubs traditions to sign a roman catholic.
Celtic fans thought it was a betrayal just signing for the enemy after stating at a press conference at Celtic park days earlier Celtic were the only club he would sign for.
He is still referred to as Judas in these parts and there is a reason he is coaching in USA/Canada and not Scotland due to the hatred for him.
Although, there was no pigs head this was by far the most bitter.

Myth, probably is the most bitter transfer in Scottish football though
