Re: The most bitter transfers ever?

I think they had a catholic playing for Rangers before 1900.

Glen Crowe from Bohemians to Shelbourne and back to Bohemians.
Our local and most bitter rivals. Crowe had a couple of Ireland caps and was single handedly keeping Bohs even getting near to Shelbourne (but they just couldnt do it). Buts when Shels got some champions league cash we bought him and a couple more of their players even though we hated the prick and most of us never stopped hating him. The Bohs scum even broke into our ground the night before we played them and painted Judas on the pitch. Our response was a banner saying J€ALOU$. Then we went into the shit financially because our owner went mental and he had to go with his tail between his legs back to them. its 50/50 on people who accept him at Bohs after about 2 years since he returned. Bunch of horrible pikey bastards.

Harry Kewell to Fenerbache from what i heard got a few liverpool fans riled due to what happened a few seasons back when they played them.
You got that totally wrong, he went to Galatasary and it was his former Leeds fans who wernt happy, it was due to the fact that a couple of Leeds fans were mudered by Galatasary fans a few years back.

EDIT Just noticed Dmac answered this.

Wayne Routledge from Cardiff to QPR last season was pretty bitter. Although he wasn't actually a Cardiff City player (he was on loan from Villa), he'd said he'd love to stay at Cardiff, but then he signed with QPR because they offered him much more money.

I was there when he returned with QPR, and all the fans sang the Nelly song "Heeeey, must be the money!" The stadium announcer even dedicated the song to him pre match. The amount of abuse he got was funny. And to top it all off he had an absolute stinker of a game! ha ha
Your guys gave Marcus Bent a hell of a reception last season. Even I laughed at it.

From our perspective, Robbie Savage to Blackburn is the worst. The guy would literally be risking his life if he walked through certain parts of Brum, even now. I wouldn't piss on the guy if he was on fire
