Relegated Players
It happens every summer. The relegated teams get raped. But this season i wouldnt be surprised if it was different. West Brom, Boro and Newcastle are overflowing with medicore players. Unless some of the newly promoted teams are intrested in players with premier league expierance i can see a lot of them struggling to get a decent club.

I'm thinking:
Downing from Boro to a UEFA Cup team, im thinking Everton at best.
Martins from Newcastle to Spain.
Owen from Newcastle to Fulham since they got UEFA Cup next season.
Duff from Newcastle to West Ham for some reason im thinking.
Bassong from Newcastle to pretty much any of the other teams. He's a good young player who would be a good back-up for a top half team.

Did i miss anyone you think would get snapped up?

Newcastle:

Most of the Newcastle departures will be a blessing...

Owen, Duff, Viduka, Barton, Smith are all on too high wages to justify keeping.

They'll get a good few million for Martins too. Coloccini will go, as will Jonas.

Then there are others like Geremi who COULD stay but again, probably won't.

They should be looking to keep Bassong, Lovenkrands, Guthrie, Taylor, Ameobi, Beye, Enrique... although Beye will probably leave too.

As for where, it's anybody's guess for most, but I'd say Owen will go to City to earn more money he doesn't deserve.

Middlesbrough:

Tuncay and Downing are the obvious choices. I can see Wheater staying although a move is possible. Huth could go, as could Aliadiere. Tuncay will join a midtable Prem team. Downing will join Spurs for more than what he's worth.

Newcastle - Said the players i think will go in the round up thread

Owen, Viduka, Smith, Martins, Barton & Duff are all likely to go to Uefa cup ambition teams. Players like Ameobi, Coloccini & Bassong are likely to go to lesser clubs.

Surprised no one mentioned Nolan as well. I would think he would go to a decent club.

Middlesborough - Obvious choice is downing. Really can't see him staying. Tuncay is likely to leave, as will Mido (probably sign with wigan on a permanent deal), Alves & Arca are the main ones i can see leaving

Other possibilities are Hoyte & Aliadiere

Mikk said Brunt to be fair.

There's no exceptionally talented players going down this year tbh.

I'm not sure if Steven Taylor is a Newcastle die-hard but I actually think he's a pretty good centre back. He could do a solid job for another club so I'm surprised he hasn't been mentioned at all.
