Bruce is looking to get Zenden involved as soon as possible and if he can get clearance in time, will probably be on the bench against Liverpool.
Good backup too as its going to be needed once Cana and Cattermole get suspended for their bookings.

Portsmouth have been banned from making new signings until they settle transfer debts owed to other English clubs.
The Premier League blocked Pompey manager Paul Hart's attempt to sign midfielder Eugen Bopp on Monday.
And they will not lift the ban until the club, who are bottom of the Premier League, have settled their debts.
Portsmouth spokesman Gary Double said the problem "should be resolved quickly" but the ban will raise fresh questions about the club's finances.
"This is in the process of being sorted and we are confident the situation will be sorted by the end of the week," Double said.
Saudi businessman Ali Al Faraj took over at Portsmouth three weeks ago, buying a 90% stake from previous owner Sulaiman Al Fahim.
Last week, Al Faraj was quoted in the Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat as saying he was "no billionaire", knew nothing about sport and wanted to sell the club quickly.
He seriously tried to sign someone on Monday after that huge intake of players he just had?

England midfielder David Beckham is to rejoin AC Milan on loan in January after the Italian club reached an agreement with Los Angeles Galaxy.
Beckham, 34, is keen to play for Milan to maximise his chances of making the England squad for the 2010 World Cup.
The Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder had a loan spell at Milan last season, during the Major League Soccer off-season.
Beckham scored two goals in 18 matches, helping the Serie A side qualify for the Champions League.
He joined Milan on an initial three-month deal in January 2009 that was extended to the end of the season.
This is good for all really.
It's good for England because he is playing at a competetive level and will be good to go for the World Cup. It's good for Milan themselves because of what he brings to the team and they will be hoping that he's as good as last time. It's even good for Galaxy because he's keeping fit during off season and more than anything else, is happy.

Chelsea's transfer ban has been suspended by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) pending a final review.
Fifa had ruled the club could not sign players until 2011 after inducing Gael Kakuta to break his Lens contract.
But Chelsea appealed to Cas, which said on Friday: "Such sanctions are now stayed until a final decision."
The decision means Chelsea can sign players in January, though manager Carlo Ancelotti stated he is happy with the players currently at his disposal.
"Now, thanks to this decision we have time to look for new players," said Ancelotti, who will lose Michael Essien, Didier Drogba, Salomon Kalou and John Mikel Obi to the African Nations Cup in January.
"We don't want to take a decision in this moment. At the moment, I'm very happy with the squad, these players, and it's not necessary at the moment to take new players.
So yeah apparently they are going to go on a massive spending spree in Jan to make sure that they have everything that they are going to need for when the ban is imposed. I don't agree with this at all, the punishment was that they got a ban without any notice so that they couldn't sign anyone which was a problem, now they have time to prepare.

Stupid decision. Nothing more i can really say but that.
As for Beckham moving back to Milan that is great news. No doubt he's going to do well there & playing in a competitive league such as Serie A will help him prepare for the World cup.

That was always going to happen everytime a decision has to be made by FIFA or UEFA when it is a big club/country involved they give the benefit of the doubt to the bigger side.
The whole seeded country thing that was brought in place when they realised France or Portugal may not make it, the Eduardo incident they set a precedent then it was appealed and dropped and the Chelsea farce.
Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini don't have a set a balls between them...true story.
