French sports newspaper, L'equipe, have stated that Sunderland's loanee, Djibril Cisse, has already agreed a deal to move to Tottenham Hotspur in the close season.
"Djibril will not remain at Sunderland after the season has finished. We have an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for Djibril to sign a 12 month contract. He will sign for Tottenham", stated Ranko Stojic, the French strikers agent.
I really hope that this story is rubbish and an attempt to get him moved onto another club.
Harry spoke about bringing in one or two great players. Djibril Cisse isn't a great player. His stints at Liverpool & Sunderland have proved that.
Apparently we've refused the first option on him that was in place and looks like Spurs have been the first to step in for him.

Bent is better imo, although Cisse's goal total is actually fairly impressive considering how shit Sunderland are.

If Spurs can get someone who can provide for Cisse then he could easily get 25+ a season.
He's shown glimpses at Sunderland with people like Malbranque and Reid providing but its not been enough.
Shame to see him go but its probably the right thing for us to get a couple of other strikers in.

Not exactly the most credible source to be fair but hey we can only wait and see.
I am thinking he will still be at Sunderland next season.
Did you not read again.
We've apparently turned down the first refusal on him and will not be signing him.

I still have faith in his ability, I thought it was a brilliant signing when Liverpool got him but certain circumstances forbidded that from working out.
Another player I like going to Spurs would pain me to be honest.
See, why I really don't think he will go to Spurs is because Spurs right now have 4 top drawer strikers, Keane, Defoe, Pavlyuchenko and Bent. Yes Bent will probably leave but that still leaves them with 3.
Do you think Cisse is a player to sit on the bench?
