Re: Ronaldo vs. the elite part 4: Ronaldo vs. Fabregas
Who are 1 and 2 Thomas? What order?
Tough one for me, depending on how you look at it. If you take it from the angle of success and performances, Ronaldo wins fairly convincingly, for now anywyas. However if you take it from an angle of potential, i'd give Cesc the slight nod. Cesc will still develop and become a great player, whilst Ronaldo on the other hand, had a freak season last year. Up until the last month or so, he's looked very very average in comparison. Perhaps he already peaked?
This season has been full of injuries and so forth, for both players in fact. Based upon current form it's not that easy to evaluate and compare. Cesc carries the Arsenal troops with him, Ronaldo plays with Utd, so that's another tick for the Spaniard.
I'm not been biased in the nature that Cesc was a Barca youth player, though i'm going to give this one to him.
Re: Ronaldo vs. the elite part 4: Ronaldo vs. Fabregas
Boo. I put Iniesta ahead, but it's very much neck and neck. Are completely different players, anyways. Xavi been the midfield maestro who controls the tempo of the game and usually lays deeper, while Andres pulls the attacking strings in the midfield with his runs and movements.
Quote me on this, If Iniesta can vastly improve his statistics, he'll go close, if not win the WPOTY before he retires.
Re: Ronaldo vs. the elite part 4: Ronaldo vs. Fabregas
Lampard has nowhere near the talent Fabregas has. In terms of Goal Scoring, Ronaldo wins, but in terms of actual ability, Fabregas wins. Fabregas is much more important overall than Ronaldo could ever be. Ronaldo could be replaced by someone else who simply scores a lot. Fabregas meanwhile brings much much more to the play and therefor is much harder to replace.
