Chelsea are through to face Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final after seeing off an heroic Liverpool in this amazing see-saw second leg.
Fabio Aurelio's free-kick and a Xabi Alonso penalty put Liverpool 2-0 up.
Didier Drogba tapped in at the near post, Alex hammered in a free-kick and Frank Lampard side-footed home to restore Chelsea's authority on the tie.
Lucas Leiva's deflected shot and Dirk Kuyt's header gave Liverpool hope but Lampard's second finally sealed it.
Barcelona reached the Champions League semi-finals after drawing their last eight second leg with Bayern Munich to seal a comprehensive aggregate victory.
Facing a 4-0 first-leg deficit, Bayern made a strong start with Luca Toni and Franck Ribery going close early on.
Ribery rounded Victor Valdes to put Bayern ahead after half-time but the hosts did little to extend their lead.
Seydou Keita produced an emphatic fist-time finish to level and set up a last- four meeting against Chelsea.
I had no expectations anyway, I'm just proud of the go they gave it.

Yes an amazing game and both teams did themselves proud. Chelsea were always expected to go through but in the first half Liverpool could easily have gone 3-0 up which would have been very interesting. I thought half time came at a bad time for Liverpool, but I was probably wrong as they continued to dominate in the early stages of the second half. Credit to Chelsea for the way they turned it around but it was a howler by Reina and a thunderbolt from Alex which allowed them to do so. Great perseverence by Pool to come so close once again to snatching an extraordinary victory until Lampard's late strike finally killed it and brought an epic game to a close.
I predicted like 0-0 and 1-0 before this tie. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

I Was pretty certain going into the game that we were gonna go out. I Just never expected to get such an amazing game out of it. Great Effort from both teams.

Thrilled with the Arsenal win. Felt fairly confident going in... which is usually where they manage to bungle things. But the side came through. Great to see Fabregas and Walcott back and making an impact.
