Sven Goran Eriksson's personal manager Athole Still believes the Swede would like to return to the Premier League.
Eriksson was sacked as Mexico manager on Thursday after a disappointing nine months in charge of the national team.
The former England manager took the role shortly after he had parted company with Manchester City last summer and Still does not believe he will be out of work for long.
Still insists there is no question of Eriksson retiring and feels he could soon return to club management in England.
"He will take on new challenges as soon as possible," Still told Sportbladet.
"I am absolutely certain that he will continue. His love for the sport is too big and he will continue until he drops."
"It is like a drug for him. The football is in the blood and it's the passion of his life.
"I would guess that the first choice would be a club in the Premier League, which offers a challenge."
Eriksson was strongly linked with the manager's job at Portsmouth following Tony Adams' dismissal in February but Still admitted on Friday that he was not sure taking charge of the South Coast club was now a possibility.
Well I agree that the Portsmouth job isn't a possibility now, should they go down, they are then a Championship team that Sven will not manage and if they survive, I think that Hart will be retained.

I'm sure Spurs will continue there recent thrend and sack Harry in a few months. They sacked Jol for finishing fifth, Harry isnt going to get that high. Sven would love a job that high profilied.

Sven would probably do great at Spurs, but personally I can't see them sacking Redknapp. I would love to see him back in the Prem, but I am struggling to think of many teams he could manage.

Sven is pretty good manager, definitely very underrated I could see him becoming manager of either Newcastle or Sunderland which ever one stays up tbh.
